Dr. Sonja Olsen, MD

Very informative on my disease. Before I met her I had given up all hope of feeling better. Dr. Olsen and her Team changed that. I now look forward to waking up and participating in life instead of just watching it go by. I am extremely grateful for her care and compassion.

On the phone I told her my husband’s liver was decompensating. She disagreed, but finally agreed to see him. She was wrong. I was right. Then she laid out that when his meld score became worse, they’d admit him and do a transplant. After my repeated calls insisting she see him, he ended up in a local hospital. She said they would send for him. They never showed up. He died. Shortly before, my heart broken, I told him I wish he’d listened to me. He said, “I will listen to anything you tell me to do.” Life support removed, he died. If she had proceeded according to my and our local doctor’s recommendation, he’d, more than likely, still be alive.

Her staff is very professional and is of great assistance. Dr Olsen spent time with me and answered my questions in a concise manner.

I had the pleasure of being a client of Dr. Sonja Olsen in Florida recently, and I can honestly say that she is one of the best gastroenterologists I have ever seen. She offers a wide range of services, from diagnosing gastrointestinal issues to performing endoscopic procedures. She is calming, and patient and takes the time to discuss the procedures with her clients. She uses simple language to explain what to expect, making it much easier to understand what to expect. She is truly a great doctor, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who is experienced and caring.

Always 35-40 minutes late. Does not have any contact means. Rude uninterested staff.

I can only say that the staff at this office is incompetent and put the health of patients in danger. I waited 4 months for an appointment to follow up with Dr Olsen on my liver issues and they cancelled last minute saying dr Olsen can no longer see me, I need to see a GP. After about 15 calls they re-scheduled me in another 3 months with a junior doctor that has no specialization in liver.

Dr. Olsen is one of the best Doctors I have ever met. She makes you feel so comfortable as soon as you meet her. She explains everything so well and doesn’t rush you. I am so thankful for Dr. Olsen

I worked with Dr. Olsen on an issue for almost a year and she was very professional and attentive. She has excellent credentials and I recommend her highly.

Dr. Olsen is very warm, helpful, and professional. Her staff made sure I was fully prepared to know what to expect from my procedure and were available to answer all questions well ahead of time, and she called me the day before to make sure I was doing okay. I did not have to wait too long to schedule an appointment and the wait was short on the day of the procedure, and there was follow-up the day after.
