Great every time

I don’t understand how he is highly rated. I was one his patients for 2 years, 2 years that I spent on trying different medications, different combinations and different dosages every 2 or 3 weeks. I have never felt worse and all I was doing is sleeping days and nights got because all the combined medication and high dosage. The first consultation he didn’t go through a full assessment he didn’t even bother to understand what I am going through or how I feel and because I was already under an antidepressant that stopped working he rushed to just increase the dosage after that every single visit his question was «  is the medication working? » and she nice the answer was « no» he will go ahead and increase the dosages and add a different antidepressant or antipsychotic without even understanding what I am actually feeling and it was like that for 2 years that I lost trying multiple medications, getting worse and even induced high blood sugar, feeling sleepy all the time and like a zombie. Thanks to friends who urged me to change the doctor which I did and I stoped all the 4 heavy medications he put me on and I am now take just one of the safest antidepressants and I am doing wonderful. I regret waiting, wasting and suffering for 2 precious years.

What stood out most for me is that Dr. Joseph took the time to really listen to my situation that I was dealing with. His nurse practitioner is absolutely wonderful! I feel extremely comfortable talking with her. The entire staff is so friendly! I have been a patient of Dr. Joseph’s now for almost 18 years and I wouldn’t think about changing doctors. Just the fact that he has over 30 years of knowledge in psychiatry not to mention he’s a Harvard graduate. He has written two books on psychiatry. The doctor really knows what he’s doing. I would most definitely recommend his professionalism as a Doctor as he was recommended to me. Best wishes to all.

Before Covid, I met with Dr. Jo in person. These visits were on time and short. We discussed my meds and whether changes were needed. I am a depressive with bipolar tendencies. I need meds to be me, normal. Sometimes they don't work as well and we work through a change. He is patient and conservative in making changes.This last visit and all those since Covid have been telehealth which is GREAT. I either talk to him or his nurse practioner. Right now, because I am so stable, it is just a check in.I trust him.Be aware that many depressive meds make you gain weight. Talk with him about it. I didn't notice it, but I think that is why I am overweight. Be careful of drugs like Effexor, since hard to get off of. I need it so don't have a choice.

I have been a patient of Dr Joseph for over 20 years .He is extremely professional and very good at what he does. He analyzes the patient thoroughly and he has recommended medication that is perfectly suited to my needs.His office staff is phenomenal they all work together like a well oiled machine and are professional & cordial as well. Never a bad experience.I am very pleased with our long standing and reliable doctor~patient relationship.

I was a patient of Dr. Joseph's for many years until I had to move away. I've been gone from Orlando 3 years and have still not found a doctor like Dr. Joseph. He is kind and he listens at every single appointment. He was with me and helped me through so much like the death of my mother. I miss him, his staff, his kindness, and care.

Dr. Joseph is the best Doctor I have ever had in the field of Psychiatry. I’m 52 yo. with severe depression, diagnosed since I was a teenager. I am a perfectionist , so I have very high expectations. In all this long horrible journey no Doctor has provided me, so many times, fast relief and prolonged improvement like Dr Joseph has. He’s very assertive and precise in his treatment. He’s not afraid like all the Doctors that have treated me before to use the effective doses required at once; this eliminates trial and error and unnecessary suffering. Also, I count on him for the next major event, this gives me peace of mind and allows me to live a happier life with hope. He’s also always updated, using the latest combination of medication. Every time I become more in awe at how effective he is. He’s a great Dr to have attending mental health issues and of course let’s not forget that he’s a graduate of MIT and Harvard. No wonder why he’s is so good ??

To anyone considering Dr. Joseph, especially those seeking mental health assistance for the first time, please read! There is currently a major pharmacy chain refusing to fill controlled substances prescribed by this doctor. Dr. Joseph does not check vitals or evaluate patients. I wish I knew what I was getting into before my first visit. After experiencing a traumatic event I was concerned for my well being and sought help from a mental health specialist for the first time. Dr. Joseph's excellent online ratings and qualifications seemed to be a match with my family history and current situation. Before I could get into the details of why I came to his office, he stopped me from speaking any further, informing me he doesn't counsel. 10 minutes after our introduction I left the office with ADHD and anxiety prescriptions. Follow up sessions were no more than 5 minutes. After many years under his care and major health complications, I would never recommend a friend or loved one.

The office manager is the most unprofessional individual I've ever dealt with. She made my wife cry while trying to set up a therapy session. After I called to file a complaint, she said she's the supervisor and I can't leave a voice mail to the doctor for the complaint. She then proceeded to hang up on me. AVOID THIS DOCTOR

Dr. Joseph and his staff are very friendly and efficient. In person visit are mainly on time and over the phone visits during Covid have always been prompt. His diagnosis and proscribed medication has been extremely helpful. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Joseph is a competent psychiatrist with multiple degrees from prestigious medical schools. He is quick, to the point and can diagnose your condition and see that you are helped medicinally.

Dr sonny Joseph is highly educated and an Awesome psychologist. He listens , gives great advice , he's seen pretty much every mental problem out there and explains and communicate excellent . Would highly recommend Hie practice for patients

I've been going to Dr. Joseph for about 15 years. He is expert at prescribing. My disorder was chronic insomnia. His prescriptions attacked the problem by varying the metabolic pathways into the brain. Rather than simply titrating up. I can see why he wrote 2 books on prescribing.
