Dr. Sonya Aikels, MD

My child and Dr. Aikels for the past 3years, she was amazing. Now after all this time she has the worst staff very rude, have no business working with children, would not allow them to ever work with children my first time coming there they scheduled appointment for my child knowing there insurance wasn’t active had me come in then I try to turn it on I ask the front staff she started getting aggravated like I was asking her for to much as if going on there profile to see if she sees there insurance number because I explained they been here before it should be on file because they been seeing dr Aikels since birth but she got attitude and walk off on me in the middle of speaking with her and she ignored me the whole time After all the years with Dr. Aikels I called very upset because the staff didnt do the gastrointestinal and speech order correctly so we waited for the for them to fax it over like her staff said they would but they never did. I called and asked to speak with the doctor but they never sent the message to her and said she would she call me back about my child referral that was supposed to be fax The office staff told me that it wasnt their problem so she would call back when she had a chance, never heard back, just got a letter that my children were no longer patients and that I was no longer allowed to call.

My kids and now my grandbaby have been seeing Dr. Aikels for the past 14 years, she was amazing. Now after all this time she has the worst staff very rude, have no business working with children, would not allow them to ever give shots since they have no clue where to give it. After all the years with Dr. Aikels I called very upset because the staff didnt do the radiology order correctly so we waited for 4 hours for them to fax it over like her staff said they would but they never did. I called and asked to speak with the doctor per her office staff (her daughter) said she was busy and would not speak to me nor would she call me back til Wednesday of the following week since it was Friday and she was taking time off , again I was upset. The office staff told me that it wasnt their problem so she would call back when she had a chance, never heard back, just got a call from my insurance company that my children were no longer patients and that I was no longer allowed to call.

She is an amazing doctor and my baby has loved her since very young. She takes her time with patients and is very thorough when discussing any information in the room. I highly recommend her to anyone new and have recommended her to many of my friends and family.
