Rushed Appointment, Cut Off Every Time I Spoke
I regret coming here. The staff at Kane Hall Barry Neurology was amazing but Dr. Srirekha Maddukuri, MD was not. She is completely disrespectful. I couldn't get a full sentence in due to her cutting me off every time I spoke. She genuinely did not listen to what I had to say. And forget trying to ask any questions. I had pages symptoms of what I was experiencing dating back years and she refused to even look down at them, so about 90% of them went unnoticed and undocumented for this visit-Which was $260 and maybe 5 minutes long. Instead of using my notes she told me to wait to come back until I am experiencing my extremely severe symptoms again, because my symptom logs weren't enough proof. Avoid this Doctor at all costs.

Over bills for services not provided
I recently went to Srirekha for a sleep study and was billed for a 45 minute doctor visit (CPT code 99204). The problem was my visit was 3 minutes. I was asked two questions 1) Why do you think you need a sleep study and 2) What symptoms are you experiencing. She quickly left, and the meeting was so short I didn't know whether to leave or stay. A med tech had to come in to let me know that it was over. I drove over an hour (30 min both ways) and took time off work for 3 minutes of time, only to be billed erroneously for 45 minutes.

Worst Office Staff Will never return here again!!
This was the worst office staff I have ever encountered. Called on 5/22 and given an appt for 5/23 for my 90 yr old mother. Showed up for the appointment and the receptionist who had zero personality said we did not have an appointment. I said that I spoke to their scheduler the day prior and was given the apt. She said well you dont have one, offered to schedule for another day which I refused. I ask to speak to the office mngr whom she said would be with me after he got off the phone. I stood at his window for 15 mins with no acknowledgement from him. I confirme that he knew I was waiting she said yes he was checking in to it. When he finally acknowledged me he had no idea what I needed, so #1 the recesptionist lied!! After checking mother's information he confirmed that I did speak to someone the day prior but she failed to actualy schedule an appt and after checking with the MA said they were already behind and could not work us in. My 90 y/o mother deserved better treatment!

Unprofessional
Rude and unprofessional as if I was annoying her. Had no respect for me as a patient. Her tone was rough and abrupt cutting me off when I tried to answer her questions. Treated me as if I was beneath her. She had no compassion or empathy. Would not recommend her.

Dr Maddukuri is a really good doctor, who also looks at the the whole person. She went above and beyond, and made several suggested lifestyle changes that did not include adding a “pill” to my regimen. She is a good listener, and takes her time with you. After years of back and leg pain, I am finally seeing results.

Dr Maddukuri is very patient and kind. My Mom is 88 yrs old with dementia and behavioral disturbances, and anywhere we go is a challenge. Dr Maddukuri and her MA Josh, totally understand the situation with Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients and were able to help. My Mom got the proper tests and medication. (We found Dr Maddukuri after a bad experience with another Neurologist with Texas Health who’s last name starts with an “A”. He was definitely NOT patient and kind.). Kudos to Dr Maddukuri and her staff!
