Previous criticisms surprised me.
All PCP’s have a difficult job. She listens, explains and never seems rushed or frustrated. I have a longstanding relationship with her and I trust her judgement.

She’s a nice person….
…but unfortunately that does not transfer into being a good doctor. Despite having my files and complete history being sent from former (now current again) doctor, nothing could ever “be found” in them even with my explaining everything in person and providing a detailed history of my procedures and medication history (including my pharmacy photos with Rx details). I experienced a situation similar to what other reviewers mentioned with a specialist as well. Thankfully, the specialist was on top of things.I had an acquaintance who also had a bad experience but I figured that was a one-off based on all of the stellar online reviews I saw when I was searching. I am writing my own now since I know most people do not take the time to do this.

Defensive Doctor Doesn't Like to Be Challenged
Dr. Watson referred me to a Rheumatologist. The Rheumatologist's first question as he entered the exam room was 'Why are you here?' He spent 30 minutes telling me why the blood tests used to refer me to him were 'unreliable'. He told me this happens too often. He could nothing for me. He said, as specialists they are trying to teach PCP's they shouldn't make these referrals. When I tried to relay this info to Dr. Watson, she became defensive and doubled down on her referral. She did not want to listen to the Rheumatologist and what he may have to teach her. Rather she wrote, 'I am sorry you feel the referral was unnecessary, but ...' then she doubled down on what is common practice. It had nothing to do with how I felt as a patient. The Rheumatologist is the one who spent a half hour telling me why he had no reason to treat me. I called to discuss this with the PA who sent me Dr. Watson's defense and their response was to send me a certified letter to quit as my Physician. Beware!
