Dr. Stacy Schmotzer, MD

I really liked Dr. Schmotzer She seems very caring, She explains thoroughly, Office was very clean and staff very polite.

After going thru a litany of the usual first-visit-history questions and plugging everything in the computer, she put the pad down and we had an actual doctor/patient discussion. Felt very at ease, and I’m not one that enjoys doctor visits. Office was very clean and staff very polite.

Long story short. I was a patient until March of 2018 when Dr. Schmotzer diagnosed me with the flu and shingles. I had double pneumonia and a broken rib (from coughing so hard). My father died of colon cancer at the age of 70, in 2016. Dr. Schmotzer said I wouldn't need a colonoscopy until I turn 55 ( I am 40). I had a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago, and had a pre cancerous polyp and now have to have another colonoscopy in a few weeks. Had I waited another 15 years, my body may have been riddled with cancer. I am hoping and praying for good results on the next go round. Be very careful if you choose her as your PCP.

Dr. Schmotzer is the best! She always makes me feel comfortable and is easy to talk to. I never feel rushed and she does a great job at explaining everything. The nurses in the office are always kind and efficient. My only complaint is the office staff. They are pretty terrible and unfriendly when checking in and/or making an appointment. They always seem unorganized. Dr. Schmotzer and the nurses are so great though, it is worth it to me to deal with them.

My experience with Dr.Schmotzer was very disappointing at best. I found her to be arrogant and condescending, even folding her note pad over itself as we did in childhood to hide what was being written. How unprofessional. I felt mocked and horrified at her behavior. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.

I really liked Dr. SCHMOTZER. She seems very caring, and even called to make sure that I was going to be okay over the weekend. She seems very knowledgeable as well, and was able to sort through all of my symptoms to figure out what problem really was. Awesome doctor!!
