Dr. Stanley Besser, MD

Absolutely horrendous. I told him that I had valuable information about my injury that I would like to offer that help with differential diagnosis. He interrupted me mid-sentence and then indicated he had no interest in listening to me. He basically defaulted automatically to saying I was old and had arthritis. I tried to tell him that this was irrelevant and that I was there to discuss an acute injury that I was certain resulted in a tear. He was on automatic pilot and suggested physical therapy, an injection, etc., things contraindicated for fixing a tear. Although he was extremely late in starting our appointment he told me point blank that our time was up. I managed to prevail upon him to approve an MRI and it just came back today showing that I was right and he was wrong. This guy is a disaster!

Dr. Beeser was booked out to November. His staff asked if I'd like to be placed on the waiting list. I accepted (I always do) and was called back within a few days and ended up with an appointment less than a week from my initial contact.At no time did I feel rushed while meeting with Dr. Besser. He discussed the x-rays with me and had a clear plan of action. He physically examined my knee and ran me through a few tests. Based on his examination and what the x-rays showed, we decided to go with a Cortisone injection and a follow up with their Joint PT group.Dr. Beeser took the time to layout how the injection would be given and carefully explained each step as he was proceeding. I was given a Cortisone injection in the knee with absolutely zero pain and was in and out of his office within 45 minutes.This guy knows exactly what he is doing, and his years of experience clearly showed.I would easily recommend Dr. Besser to anyone I know.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Sharp until this guy. My PCP is a great doctor, caring, attentive, excellent follow up and always on top of things. So I ignored these ratings when she referred me to Dr Besser. MISTAKE. These ratings are accurate. No idea where Sharp gets those +ve ratings to put on their website for this guy. Impatient, borderline rude, insensitive to my excruciating pain and concerns, ready to dash to the door, hardly responsive to FollowMyHealth SOS pleads, absolutely unapologetic in the follow up visit. I had it! I would give -ve stars if this website allowed. SHARP, you have great doctors and excellent patient care. How in the hell do you have THIS doctor in your system?

Waited a month and a half to meet with Dr. Besser. When I arrived the day of the appointment he had taken the day off and forgotten to notify me or reschedule the appointment.

I visited Dr Stanely Besser several times due to my Ostearthritis knees. He is a great doctor, very professional and the best doctor I know for giving joint injections. No pain and very effective injections.

Had zero expertise with joint conditions and could care less about the patient. Said 3 times that he was on a 20 minute stopwatch but he wasted most of that time just trying to find my records, he had not prepared at all.

Great doctor! Addressed all of my concerns and really listened.

Dr. Bedder asked me to explain my symptoms and within 20 seconds he cut me off and told me he "didn't have time for the whole story". I should have reminded him that I waited over two months for an appointment, I had only been in his office for less than 30 seconds and that besides my $60 copay, I'm sure my insurance company was paying him at least $750 for 10 minutes of his time. Totally rude first comment.
