Highly recommend - straight shooter and upfront. Very patient-forward, accessible, understands that surgery can be scary so stresses educating his patients to the greatest extent possible.

Dr. Trooskin and his staff, including his assistant Aliza, were incredible. They took great care of my daughter and explained everything in detail. Dr. Trooskin personally called the day before surgery and answered questions. They addressed concerns, understood how surgery can affect the patient and the family. Wish more doctors & staff were as thorough and understanding as they were here.

Exceptional! Unparalleled skill, calmness, control and dedication to all surrounding him. Never have I met such a responsive medical professional. Dr. Trooskin will unhesitatingly respond to emails and called the day before surgery to see how I was, following some complications from an unrelated medical issue. If being treated for primary hyperparathyroidism he is the MASTER. Highly recommended.

Dx with papillary thyroid cancer 2013 by doctors in Florida. Family oncologist recommended Dr Trooskin at RWJ as he specializes in this area. The entire experience from pre surgery appointment and education on the disease, the surgery, and now follow up for 4 years with Dr Trooskin has been excellent. He listens, takes the time to explain as needed and treats you more than “just another patient”. Highly recommend.

Recently had my thyroid and parathyroid removed by Dr. Trooskin. He was the most compassionate doctor I have EVER had! He personally called me the day before my surgery to see how I was and if I had any questions. The day of the surgery he explained again what he was going to do and - he actually held my hand in the operating room until I went under! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone needing surgery.

The best surgeon for thyroid cancer. I had recurrent thyroid cancer, my only regret is that I did not choose him as a surgeon the first time because I feel like if I did, I would have never needed the second surgery. If you need to wait for your appointment, do it, he is worth it!
