Dr. Stavros Maragos, MD

Answered all my questions. He asked me a lot of questions. I would recommend him VERY highly to anyone who has heart issues.

My visit was very relaxing and understanding he is the type of doctor that listen to you and feel compassion he took care of my mom and when she passed and I told him about it it felt good that he understood how I felt I say he's a wonderful and caring doctor

Doctor Moragos and his cardiac team was absolutely phenomenal in diagnosing and resolving my cardiac issue. Without his care and guidance I do not know if I would be here today to write this review. Thanks Doc!!!

For over 12 years Dr. Maragos has been helping me with my heart issue. He is a gentle and caring man who truly has your best interest in mind. I have never been rushed through an appointment, nor is the wait time very long. I can say without any doubt Dr. Maragos and the Joliet staff do an outstanding job.

Dr Maragos is kind ,listens to my needs and concerns, gives me good advise. I highly recommend. The whole office staff is beyond great.

Dr. Maragos has been my cardiologist ever since I was diagnosed with high blood pressure around 55 years of age. I was, and still am, terribly impressed with his knowledge, experience and his vast medical skills. He has come to my medical rescue more than once as I was hospitalized for medical concerns not relating to conditions of the heart. I feel very secure and confident that I am being served by Dr. Maragos with the finest medical care that can be given to a patient. Dr. Maragos' office staff is as attentive to detail as he is! Many of the preventive diagnostic tests can be given right in the office with highly trained medical technicians.

Sorry to hear about some of your problems but our experience has been totally different and with excellent and compassionate care. We were referred to Dr. Maragos by our former cardiologist who retired from another clinic. He has not only diagnosed and cared for us with very good out comes but has shepherd us through other health issues by his direction on seeking the best care from other providers. He is tops and I would highly recommend him for your cardio/vascular problems. His staff has ALWAYS been available to our needs in follow-up. I am pretty skeptical about most doc's, but Dr. M is the BEST! Anne Vickery

After having a heart attack and hospitalized, I saw Dr. Maragos once in 3 months. I called repeatedly because medication was making me sick and was finally told to stop the meds but he didn't replace it until I called back the next week. The nurses were not professional or concerned. When I needed emergency kidney surgery, I called Dr. Maragos for an appointment for cardiac surgical clearance and was told I didn't need an appointment; a fax would be sent clearing me for surgery even though he had not seen me in months. My urologist ordered all pre-surgical tests because he didn't want to go ahead without them. I have since found a new cardiologist and would not recommend this doctor at all.

Very upset. Dad is 85, seen in hospital by this group. Drs. in group cancelled after-care appointment twice and then said he'd have to wait another month. His bp is spiking to 190/90 and falling to 80/40. He took only available appointment, got Dr. Maragos. While in waiting room he got faint from low pressure. Asked staff for pressure cuff but they didn't have portable one? Pleaded for wheel chair. Finally, got one. Dr. had no answer for wild BP swings. No tests ordered? Waist of time.
