Dr. Stavroula Otis, MD

Dr. Stavroula “Stevie” Otis is simply the best oncologist you could possibly hope to have. Frankly, Dr. Otis should be the template from which all other oncologists are trained. Her experience and understanding of cancer is incredible, no doubt in part to her being a second generation oncologist. She never makes you feel rushed and always listens patiently and intently, taking the time to thoroughly answer all your questions. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to her patients is unmatched. I have never seen such devotion in a physician of any kind.Dr. Otis has always treated me as though I were an actual family member. With her, practicing medicine is clearly a calling, not just a vocation. When I was in St. Joseph’s Hospital with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and my former oncologist had failed to properly diagnose my condition, Dr. Otis stepped in, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem, and immediately began treatment, just in the nick of time. I trust her judgment implicitly

Brilliant, responsive and efficient staff

I am my father's medical advocate, this would be my first time meeting doctor Otis. With the Information my father had given me about his previous appointments I was unsatisfied. Well I no longer feel that way. We had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Otis and her staff. All were very attentive and helpful. Dr. Otis was very thorough, attentive, compassionate, and patient . When we met with her this past week we were recieving my fathers offical diagnoses. Dr. Otis was soft spoken, gentle, kind, informative, and patient. She did not rush the appointment which is why she may run behind and have longerwait times. Which is ok with me. We felt as though we were her only patient. Besides what doctor gives a patient their cell number., not many. Thank you Dr. Otis. Perhaps the one star review was a one off. I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Otis and her staff. All were very attentive and helpful. Dr. Otis was as described in several reviews, very attentive, compassionate and thorough. When I met with her this week, she was genuinely happy with my rapid recovery and provided me with very good tips. I felt like I was her only priority and didn't feel like she was rushing through the follow-up visit. Thank you Dr. Otis.

Dr. Otis is one of the most special people you will ever have the privilege of meeting. She saved my life and just as important was that she never forgot that she was dealing with a human being facing cancer with justifiable fears, concerns and worries. She is more than an excellent doctor, she is a friend, she is family. I will always be grateful that I was fortunate enough to have her as my oncologist.

Dr. Otis is the Best I can ask for. She is patient with me and I have a list when I see her. And she answers all my concerns I have. As someone said she has better bedside manners then a family member. And I don't waite hour at all. So this man that has negative comments from L.A. just dosen't know what he's talking about. She's the Best!

I have iron deficiency anemia since I was 17 years old. I’ve been passed by doctors at UCI for various ludicrous reasons. It has been challenging and defeating until now. Dr Otis listened intensely, gave me her full attention, was very thorough in her questions and evaluation, looking at all past blood work and history. She helped me understand the questions I had and ultimately made a plan for me. I won’t be going elsewhere. Staff is amazing—courteous and kind. Wait time about 25 min.

All doctors should treat their patients like Dr. Otis. She is absolutely amazing in every aspect. Not only is her bedside manner better than most family members, her compassion for her patients is 100% sincere in every way. Both of my parents are her patients and I trust her completely and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for her specialties. She is a true angel in disguise.

Very professional MD and office staff. Wait time is minimal. Dr. Otis returns calls at the end of the day on the same day pts call in, she's very caring and compassionate. Very comprehensive history and physical done.

Dr. Otis and staff are very nice HOWEVER. The way she runs her practice is poor. She always late and there is always a hour wait! She has to wait for her staff to arrive because she can't put a needle in your skin, which makes me really question her as a dr. She is VERY nice but nice does not equal being a good dr. I believe the Drs office was passed down to her, boy does she have a lot to learn about running a practice. Avoid this place if possible!

Dr. Otis was warm and empathic. She took an extensive amount of time to go over a head to toe history and plan of care. She was extremely knowledgeable and warm. Her office staff was very friendly and worked to make the treatment manageable for me. If I could, I would give her 10 stars.

She is the most compassionate most caring doctor that I have ever been too. She genuinely cares about all her patients and she is so understanding. Her staff is amazing too. She is the best doctor that I have ever had!!
