Uninterested in me or my health
I felt very rushed, she used abbreviations and medical terms I don't know to explain what she thought I needed and also dismissed my symptoms and requests by referring me to a psychiatrist. Did not seem at all interested in me or my health. She was running late and the office seemed quite disorganized. Communication after my appointment by her assistant was great.

It is hard to find a good primary care doctor who is both highly skilled and takes the time needed with each patient regardless of billing pressures. Dr. Hess does both of these consistently. You can tell that she really does care about her patients and strives for the best possible outcome. Highly recommended.

Fantastic doctor - smart, excellent in diagnosis and doesn't delay - she's quick to respond. Actually, she saved my life. Within a few days I was so weak my legs wouldn't hold me up, and my thinking was slowed. My husband called her and she got me in within half an hour. Within less than an hour after that, she had me admitted at Foothills through ER and an hour after that, I was hooked up and receiving blood; I had serious internal bleeding and spent four days in the hospital. If she hadn't been as quick as she was in diagnosing and action, I wouldn't be here, writing this review.

I came in to renew my medication & run thyroid blood tests after months of having extremely low energy. She showed absolutely no empathy, didn't listen to anything I was saying and had me fill out a depression screening before rushing out the door. Under the impression that Dr. Hess would return, her medical assistant walked in with paperwork for the lab and sent me on my way. Confused by this, I asked if Dr. Hess was returning and she said: "nope, she's all done with you!" NO confirmation on if my prescription was renewed, NO explanation of what blood tests she ordered, NO mention of any follow-up appointments or next steps. She completely left me in the dark. At the lab, I asked the woman what the tests were for. Turns out, thyroid tests weren't on the list. I had to go back to Dr. Hess's office to have her add them on. I called the pharmacy today to see if my prescription came through... Nope. I called the lab to confirm if the tests had been added on... NOPE

Dr. Hess' bedside manner was excellent. The rest of the staff's care was abysmal. I called seven times and sent two emails to obtain basic lab results. I finally asked to have them left at the front desk for me to pick up. I absolutely won't be returning to this office despite Dr. Hess' good care. I was on hold for eight minutes to reach a receptionist. I'd only recommend this office if you don't need any kind of attention from your doctor.

Dr. Hess is reasonable, conscientious, and well-informed. Like most doctors, she is under time constraints, and like many patients, I'd rather talk to her at length about anything except a diagnosis!

Was extremely judgmental of me and defaulted on poor lifestyle choices and anxiety/depression when diagnosing my symptoms. As it turns out, it's a lot more complicated & serious than that. Wish I had the 2 years back following her recommended treatment.

Incredibly incompet*#% doctor. I took my 19 YO daughter to see Dr. Hess. My daughter began describing her symptoms and I added my perspective as a mom seeing her fatigue, chronic infections, etc. This doctor told my daughter that nothing was wrong with her. In fact, Dr. Hess' advice was, and I quote exactly, "she needs to eat a vegan diet and exercise more". I demanded Hess give us the name to an endocrinologist who we saw three days later and, after testing, told us she had Rheumatoid Arthritis
