Dr. Archer’s poor bedside manners
Today, 3.24.25, my wife and I had a consultation with Dr. Archer about a gastric sleeve procedure and I was very disrespected by the doctor’s behavior. I was simply asking him basic questions about the procedure and why it is better for my wife rather than just switching diets and exercising daily. He treated me like I was a dog and neglected my concerns for my wife. Dr. Archer didn’t like that I was asking very important questions about an irreversible procedure and was making disrespectful comments under his breath such as “oh my god” and making “tsking” noises throughout our consultation. He was also rolling his eyes based on what I had to say. We felt very disrespected based on his rude behavior and neglect for my concerns. We will not be coming back due to the unprofessionalism that Dr. Archer showed us today.

Dr Archer removed my gallbladder yesterday afternoon and I walked out of the hospital 3 hours. Later! He has also been following my Barry’s syndrome for three years add it has apparently gone away. Dr Archer does not sugar coat your conditions which I very much appreciate.

I had the best experience with Dr. Archer and his referral coordinator Crystal. I contacted this office because I was about to lose my insurance from my previous job. I was diagnosed with a idiopathic intracranial hypertension due to weight gain. I was losing my vision and suffering from severe migraines. He was very professional and personal. He was very efficient. Crystal was amazing. She got all the information they needed from Oregon Health Plan and from the other hospital I was going to go through. She made several calls and worked really hard to help make this happen. They are amazing!!! I am so thankful for them. DR.Archer is amazing. BEST DECISION GOING TO THIS DOCTOR.

Dr Archer and his office nurse rearranged his schedule for my convenience enabling me to have three procedures in one setting. This enabled me to have only one anesthesia, one recovery and one hospitalization. I am very familiar professionally with the medical profession and Dr Archer and his scheduling nurse went over and above an excellent standard of care.

I did my homework on what I wanted and needed. I researched Dr Archer too. I met with him and found him to be very kind and he had no hesitation to answer any of my questions. He was kind , attentive and my first impression was he understood my need for weight loss. I attended his seminar and was instantly decided he would be my surgeon . I would do it again is what I tell everyone. This was the right decision for me ! I am three months POST surgery and already feel wonderful. Thank you Dr A
