Excellent physician. Gifted surgeon.
Dr. Brotherton enabled me to walk again after I suffered a terrible Achilles tendon rupture. He has treated my entire family for the past 30 years. We completely trust him and highly recommend him.

I have no idea why Dr. Brotherton has so many low ratings. He scoped my right knee when another doctor refused to even treat me. Dr. Brotherton did a great job on the surgery and follow-up care. He is compassionate and cares for his patients. He treats his patients as individuals with respect. I would go to him anytime for any bone or joint issue.

Go to another doctor, he lacks compassion and care for his patients. I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours combines in my 2 appointments with him and never saw the (man). He had his assistant call me and they told me the wrong injury. Now I’m months behind on a surgery I needed (Not with him thank God).

He did a scope on my left knee, and I was very satisfied. It only really hurt for 3 days, and 6 years later it is still good. I will go back to him for my right knee. He was caring in my post op appt, my Dad died the same day I had my scope and he said his Dad also died when he was about my age. I must have seen a different side of him than others talk about. I am going to make an appt to see him again.

Don't let him operate on you. Not a good experience at all. Doesn't seem to care after he does the surgery and talks poorly of other doctors.

Doctor is aloof and arrogant. He blew off my left foot break as a "ballerina fracture" and only prescribed painful PT. A better doctor mended it later through surgery with a screw and took some arthritis out in the process.

Worst Doctor in Fort Worth! He immediately talked about his dislike for podiatrist when discussing my foot which I felt concerned but stayed the course. Went ahead and performed the surgery and completely messed up my foot. I went to a podiatrist who had to fix this doctor’s mess. This doctor could use some humbling. If you want multiple surgeries go to this doctor. If you want immediate success stay away.

Dr. Brotherton did for me what a podiatrist told me was impossible. A podiatrist had amputated a hammertoe and effectively disabled me for life. Every step was like I was stepping on a nail. In just one visit, Br. Brotherton had assessed the damage done and had me being fitted for orthotics before I left. And, he arranged physical therapy. About a week later, I received my custom made orthotics and have walked with no pain whatsoever, since that morning. I recommend Dr. Stephen Brotherton!!!!

If I could go back and change my decision to come to this doctor, I would. Wait 1 hr to see him and then he spends less than 5 minutes with you and hardly explains anything. When I had to have my ACL replaced, I had no idea that there were different types of grafts (he just picked one) or that I should have been going to physical therapy preop. He never stressed the importance of extension and even said it wasnt necessary to get back to my "normal" ROM. Now I have to get a second surgery.

Don't Waste Your Time or Money in Fort Worth, TX – Apr 08, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Brotherton?
My 80+ year old mother had knee & hip surgery by Brotherton. A few years later the knee became infected. Fortunately another doctor came to her rescue & replaced the infected knee device. Since Brotherton's hip surgery years ago she has walked with a very, very painful limp as a result of recently diagnosis by another ddoctor that legs length varied. Dr. Brotherton dismissed her claims of inconsistent leg lengths. He angrily contended she has scoliosis. Another doctor found no scoliosis.

Dr. Brotherton has seen me, my mother, my daughter and my mother-in-law. Every surgery he has performed on our family has had great success. He may not have the best bedside manners, but when the time counts, he delivers. No surgery problems pre or post-op care. After my last knee surgery, he stood-up for me. He let the CRNA and Anesthesiologist know that they screwed-up. They were told to intubate me with Fibreoptic assistance. They didn't and a code blue was called. They had a hard time intuba
