He did hernia surgery on my brother in law and sent him home same day and unfinished with bowel obstruction. He had 4 days of extreme pain and puking and ended up back in the hospital, where he should have been anyway. They let him lay in pain and puke for another 4 days and then found him dead. He died from asphyxiation of puking poop (feculent vomitus). Literally. If you're smart, find another dr. And don't go to St. Johns either.

What a fantastic surgeon! Dr. Bruns did such a remarkable job of repairing my hernia injury. I have healed quickly and without any complications. Highest recommendation!

He was friendly, but during follow-up visits he didn't seem to listen and only looked at the incision and said everything looks good. Despite my problems, he said come back anytime and I'll take a quick look. I can back a few weeks later and was told that I was beyond the 90 day window and would have to pay an office visit co-pay. Since there is no service guarantee, I opted to go elsewhere. He may be more interested in performing Breast Augmentation work than hernia repair. Very Sad!
