Back in the 1980's I was so crippled up with back pain. In the 1960's I had back surgery. I had surgery again in the mid 1970's. Finally around 1988 (if exact date is required I can find it). I went to Dr. Grubb, when he was working in Durham Regional Hospital (now part of Duke). He did a multilevel fusion. After a healing period of about six months to a year, I never had any more trouble with my back. I even started running and I got to where I could run three miles a day six days a week.
