Was told I was 'too young' and 'you're going to have to deal with it there's nothing we can do' when I told the doctor I might have achalasia. He just kept giving me reflux meds and send me on my way. 1 year later at Temple Hospital being seen by a GI and I have achalasia!!!

I saw Dr. Mass at Doylestown, PA for persistent hoarseness. he diagnosed right vocal cord paralysis and ordered a CT scan to rule out a tumor as the cause. 6 days later, i'm still waiting for his office to submit the pre-authorization request with my insurance company. worse, when i called the office to check the status, i was told the request was in progress "as we speak". that's a direct quote from the person at the front desk. when i heard nothing else from them, i called the insurance company and 5 different people - including 2 supervisors and a manager - confirmed that his office hasn’t submitted any pre-authorization requests in 6 months. obviously, the person at the desk flat-out lied to me. Dr. Mass may be a fine physician; but if his gatekeepers lie to patients and refuse to act on potentially urgent requests for care, his qualifications are irrelevant. look for another medical practice - you can certainly do better than this one.

Dr. Mass is very caring — he listens and immediately puts you at ease. He’s very professional and has a great bedside manner. The entire staff is wonderful, as well — they are very responsive when requesting an appointment, and very caring regarding my medical concerns. Thank you for everything!

Terrible. Went in with xray from er which he didn't look at initially and spent 10 minutes telling me how nothing is wrong with me and I don't need any more test, especially no ct scans because radiation causes cancer. He went on about how er doctors don't know anything. Told me I needed my nose cauterized. Gave no time to think about it. Gave no info on possible complications. Before I know it he is burning the inside of my nose. Then he leaves the room and says wow I think you need a ct scan.
