Pleasant but has poor outcomes. Poor choice on my part to have him carry out injections. In excruciating pain post treatments.

Worse pain now than before ever seeing Dr Parker.
I received spinal injections and the entire procedure was extremely rushed. During the procedure, he was more concerned with having a conversation w/ the nurse than putting a needle in my spine. After the injections, I expected some pain and eventual relief - none of those happened. For 24+hrs after my injection, I was in the worst nerve pain I have ever experienced IN MY LIFE! I could barely walk and sitting was a struggle. Several times during the procedure, i felt nerve pain radiating down my leg and was literally in very noticeable excruciating pain and Dr. Parker just continued his conversation with his nurse like he could care less. Never again!

Never ever again
This guy rushed through the injections and didn't wait for the anesthetic to numb the injection points.. My mother is 94 and is suffering from spinal stenosis and cannot stand or walk for too long. He made her cry in pain and chased her away..

My experience with Dr. Steven Parker was not a pleasant one and didn’t have any positive results. I wish I had checked his Healthgrades reviews before I saw him for my problems. Pretty much the worst doctor I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

That's five minutes of my life I'll never get back. He did not take a history. He came in talking, telling me what he was going to do for me without finding out what I had already tried without success. He belittled my pain. He seemed to believe I was looking for opioids, even though I made it clear I have no interest in them and know they don't work long-term. He kept cutting me off when I tried to ask questions and answered without hearing what I wanted to know. Very disappointing.

I was referred by another physician. Dr Parker was mad because I had shots done elsewhere. He went off on me in front of my 9 year old saying that he would not give me meds because I was seeing another Dr. For shots. I have been on pain mgmt for 13years. Never once ran out of meds or failed a drug test. It is easy to see what this quack values. Why should I be punished because I was referred to him?

I went to Dr. Parker because my GP could no longer prescribe pain meds and I was trying to find a way to control neck and shoulder pain from arthritis, bone spurs, bursitis, degenerating discs and fibromyalgia. I mistaking believed he was a pain control doctor. He gave me steroids in my neck (which worked) and he referred me to another doctor for bursitis in my hip. The procedure is painful and I reacted to the steroids, but it is an effective non surgical option. He is unable to deal with muscle spasms and chronic pain caused by fibromyalgia. Unfortunately, because of the current panic over pain control, the quality of life and activity I once had is gone. But if you opt for steroids to ease neck pain, it can be effective. I did feel the stigma of being a pain patient from him and his staff which is incredibly demeaning, and during our last visit he came in with a stenographer and someone else he didn’t introduce and I was unexpectedly dismissed. No room for discussion.

I was suffering from severe back pain for the last 3 years. Dr Parker was recommended to me by a physician in Myrtle Beach. I visited him in his office and was so impressed with his empathy and knowledge of my condition. He tried many different treatments in the hope of alleviating my pain. Now, at this point Dr Parker recommended that I see a surgeon, which I have. Again, I highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering from debilitating pain

The worst experience ever!!! Dr Cook, recommended injections with Dr. Parker. I decided to have them. Previous injections in New York had some discomfort with it but nother like what I experienced with Dr. Parker. The pain during the procedure was excruciating, a fiery piercing pain down to my toes. I endured two of these shots. I could not walk for three hours and sat in the recuperating area until I was wheeled out. No follow up No concern by either doctor, until follow up appt today

Dr. Parker eliminated my chronic back pain with radio frequency ablation and I am very grateful to him. This allows me to live a normal life and enjoy traveling pain free. I can really enjoy my retirement pain free! The doctor is easy to talk to and takes his time with you. I feel very at ease with him and trust him completely.

He took care of my daughter for about 10 years. Had her on really high dose of pain meds. Weeks ago the day before her appt his office called and said he could no longer take CASH PAY patients and to stop and pick up final prescription. How do you treat a human being like that? No referral, no plan for the future. Just bye bye. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy to him.

I was treated by Dr. Parker and feel that this man should not have a medical license. I was treated by this individual who appears to be so lost in his records. I finished a spinal injection treatment for an evaluation for ablation on spinal nerves and the man was so confused as to what he did to me already that his stenographer had to straighten him out and ask him to look at my records before he said anything else. I am a medical professional myself and was shocked at his throughness

This Dr started off good but after about 10yrs being his patient had nerve 2tell me he didn't realize how much medicine I was on even tho I saw him every single month &he wrote the scripts at each visit. I became highly addicted, didn't receive any help from him or staff. Final appt I had, I asked 4a few day supply of meds b/c of pain i was in &he completely refused! Even ibuprofen! Once I told him he was giving me WAY 2much medicine he lost interest in me all together&pushed me 2the wastedside.

He took blood for me to check my testosterone to see if meds were effecting it. When I went for 3 additional follow ups and he kept telling me that it wasn't in, then on the 4 th follow up , he said it was lost. When I questioned him about it , he got very mad and cussed at me. I left his office and contacted his administrater and told them what had happen, they stated that blood was not suppose to be took in the office. They never contacted me back. He probably owns stock in the blood bus.
