Dr Reis performed a successful procedure on my dad
Dr Reis placed a feeding tube on my dad who could not swallow. Other specialties could not do the procedure due to risk of general anesthesia. With radiology technology, Dr Reis was able to perform the procedure without sedation at all, just local anesthesia. Dr. Reis first came to speak to me to describe the procedure and the risks. He was very clear, courteous and seemed very experienced. I just knew my dad was in good hands. The wait time was not long at all as they informed me they were finishing with another patient procedure and everything that the doctor promised was delivered. Dr. Reis performed the procedure quickly and successfully. Immediately after, he personally came to notify me it went well which was very much appreciated. He also informed my dad’s medical team with post care instructions right away. His team of nurses were fantastic! Thank you to Trish and Jeanne and others on the team for being so hard working and having such big hearts. Forever grateful Dr. Reis!

Dr. Reis- dismissive nasty man!
Dr. Reis operated on my boyfriends 84 year old mother the other day at Columbia. He sent her home the same day and when my boyfriend [over the phone] said she was way too weak and not ready to go home, Dr. Reis'response was 'Well that's not my problem, she's discharged so come and get her.' He was dismissive, rude and a total jerk. His own nurses disagreed with him and said she should stay! The next morning, the poor woman couldn't even walk to the bathroom in her own bedroom and was admitted by ambulance to another hospital. Doctors there couldn't believe she was sent home the same day! She is now in the hospital trying to gain back strength and is in terrible pain. Dr. Reis didn't even send her home with any meds to help the pain- NOTHING! He just wanted her gone. This doctor is heartless, nasty and simply doesn't seem to care at all about his patients.
