UNPROFESSIONAL
My mom has struggled with autoimmune issues for years. While at OP Regional with SEVERE pain, all Dr Ruhlman could remind her is that he was leaving for vacation in a few days and that there would be no other Rheumatologist on staff. He totally disregarded her and then had the audacity to pretty much tell her that she was making her pain up. This DOCTOR said that she needs to start looking in other areas where the pain may be coming from, without offering any suggestions. Sorry, any recommendations then DOCTOR? SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Hope he enjoys his vacation he couldn't wait to get to instead of treating his patients.

It took forever for the doctor to come back to the exam room (over 40 minutes). The doctor was very unorganized, and I honestly wasn’t sure he knew what he was doing. I left very confused, frustrated for how long it took, and felt like literally the appt was not helpful. He didn’t do a good job of explaining, and if I go back to rheumatology, I would be seeking someone different. I was waiting on lab test results and called the office that went straight to voicemail, and they did not get back to me for over 2 weeks. The whole office is very disorganized, not very clean, and the office staff is not very professional either. It felt like you were not in a doctor’s office at all. I wouldn’t recommend this doctor or this practice.

He saved my life back in 2016. I was in pain, suffering physically and mentally...and if I didn't die soon, I was going to take my own life. Dr. Ruhlman was on call that night. After he told me that I was now a patient of his and he was going to work to find out what was going on, I knew I was going to be okay. He actually tested and treated the life alterting pain that I had been suffering from for 2plus years. When other doctors said it was all in my head, and some acted like I was a drug addict looking for drugs (that's a whole other issue when you have autoimmune pain - shame on those physicians for making me feel that way). He is always attentive. He can recite personal details from previous visits. It's amazing. Also - shout out to Rachel, his nurse. What an amazing lady?? She is very responsive and helpful. She does refills and phone calls in a very timely manner. I feel lucky to have her too.

Dr. Ruhlman listens to my concerns and is extremely knowledgeable. He is always pleasant and I always leave knowing I have a doctor who cares about my health. He and His current office staff always respond to calls/text/emails quickly. His office staff always make me feel welcomed and never make me feel like a burden. I never feel rushed like you do at some doctors offices. I feel like a person not just a name on a schedule for that day.

Dr. Ruhlman has a wealth of knowledge and information. I’ve been his patient for several years. He is very thorough with his examination to determine a treatment, and his “bedside” manner is great. He makes me laugh. He’s a good doctor. The nursing staff makes a nervous moment in time, a relaxed moment. They are really nice, answer questions and return my calls or text promptly. The office staff are fantastic. They answer my calls and/or greet me with a smile every time.

Dr Ruhlman is absolutely the best! He is so kind and concerned about the whole person, not just your ailments. I highly recommend him to anyone who has fibromyalgia! He understands the pain I suffer and takes the time to listen and offers information for various therapies instead of just pushing medications like a lot of doctors do. I also have to praise the medical manager and Physicians Assistant Rachael. When I need my pain medication (which is a controlled substance) refill every month, I can text her directly! She is so efficient and personally responds promptly. It is so comforting to know she actually cares about you and is so kind and understanding. I wish every doctor had an Assistant like her. The entire staff at Dr. Ruhlman's office are a pleasure to deal with.

Dr. Ruhlman is outstanding. He's obviously extremely experienced. He always made myself and my son feel very comfortable and was down to earth. He's also very funny to boot. Recommend him highly. The staff is all new and great. I'm sure the bad reviews were mostly due to the previous staff.

When I went into his office the first time I was taken aback by how unconventional compared to other medical practices. He is able to diagnose correctly because of his experience in the field and yes all specialists are just that in the field but all the schools in the world cannot teach what he knows by way experience through the years. Not scared to take on insurance for testing until approved. Unconventional =exceptional

This is the most negative an depressing doctors office! No one smiles at all, not even the doctor. Everyone seems so stressed. I had a visit in early December. I have called every week for two months! No one returns a phone call!!! Quessing by the one good review, you’ll get whatever you want if you make an appt every two weeks. ??

I've been seeing Dr. Ruhlman since 10/2016 every couple weeks. He's smart and knows what he's doing. He also understands my conditions which has made me feel more comfortable talking to him. It took a long time for me to find someone like him. You don't want to let him go. I promise you.

One star is too many. This place obviously doesn't care about their patients health. Couldn't make an appointment, tried to reschedule at least 6 hours in advance now he wont ever see me again because of same day cancellation. So my Dr. tries to get Dr. Katz to see me and HE WONT TAKE ME EITHER!!! All because I had to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. If I had no showed I'd get it. But this was HOURS in advance. DON'T GO HERE THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU OR YOUR HEALTH.

Condescending guy; only comment about my arthritis was: You think YOU'VE got it bad. I have a guy who can't do this with his hand. Did not offer any treatment. When looking over my health history, he commented: I notice you marked NO on whether you ever had (Whatever it was called - I've never heard of it). Do you even know what this is? Then, why did you mark No?
