Dr. Stephen Savage, MD

Idk why I haven't put a review out sooner. But for about 10 years I've had dvt, and in the beginning I thought he had my best interests at heart. He prescribed a blood t and I took the medication for months but I constantly had to adjust my dosages and because of this I had an extremely hard time stopping any bleeding anytime I got cut at work( which was in a kitchen). When I asked about a safer (albeit new at the time) medications that didn't require constant blood tests and adjusting my dosage every week, he refused and said he didn't believe me about my issues with the meds. And that broke my trust. I stopped seeing him even tho he was our family doctor. I tried to see him again after 8 years (since he was still 'my family doc) so I could try a safer one. When I did he tried to push the same again and I told him my issues with that again, and he just said I don't believe you. After persisting he refused a prescription or tests, just gave me a week's worth sample and was done

My first visit i got the distinction that he cared about me and my health journey. Which turned out to be true. My previous dr is a great man too however he retired. He had a replacement however in my brief experience with her i did not find her competent.

I took my 86 year old mother who had covid symptoms. Dr. Savage was not her regular doctor and this was the first time she saw him. I could not have asked for better care!

Doctor Savage and his whole staff are terrific! So glad I found them . Your not just a number here. Doctor Savage listens and explains and never rushes you out . His office is very courteous and professional. They also answer the phone and return calls when they say they will . Wasn’t sure there were any places like this anymore. They really care about you here. A Doctors visit here is pleasurable.

We won't be back. My son and myself have been going to Dr Savage for basically our entire lives. He refused to test me for all that is needed to fully understand my condition or to even listen to me when I speak about my symptoms. We are finding a new provider. I no longer feel that he truly cares or is listening. The receptionist just called me to say my results are normal. Ok no. Things are no normal. He wouldn't even do anything more than a standard test or refer me to anyone else who would help. Trust me things are not normal. If I still feel awful why won't he allow for more testing?

I have been patient of Dr. Savage since he started practising. He is great. He always always has or makes time for you and your concerns about your health. A real doctor who loves his work and his patients. The staff is always friendly. His nurse Carol is the best. 100%

Dr. Savage has been our family Dr. since he stared practice in Pulaski Tn. He has taken care of us through every situation possible.

Everyone here is amazing! They make you feel important and take time with you to explain everything and answer any and all questions you may have! If you have an emergency they will make every attempt to get you seen quickly. I am so glad I found Dr Savage and would recommend him to absolutely everyone needing a family Doc!!!
