Dr. Szabo is a fantastic doctor. He is warm, explains the situation and takes time with you to answer questions. I had multiple PE's (twice) and he was a lifesaver both times. He worked with me to find the right drug that would work for me. I highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Szabo for a couple of years after having blood clots in my leg and discovering that I had a genetic abnormality that makes me prone to these. Each time that I have been seen by Dr. Szabo, I feel that I am not rushed, truly cared about, and not just a patient number or diagnosis. I also am seen by the nurse practitioners and they are as caring as well. I have needed referrals and clearances for various outpatient procedures and I can always count on Dr. Szabo making sure that I hold my blood thinner for the right amount of time and know when to restart it. He is extremely knowledgeable and well respected among other health care professionals. As a recently retired nurse, I usually seek out referral recommendations from other nurses and he was recommended to me as one of the best. I agree and feel very well cared for, safe and involved as a partner with his care. I highly recommend Dr. Szabo if you have hematology needs.
