Very Happy with OrthoSouth
Had a knee injury and needed a fast appt with a knee specialist. Got a next day appt, waited less than 5 minutes before I was seen. Had x-rays, saw the dr and a physician’s assistant. I think my diagnosis and treatment were on-the-money. Was very satisfied with Dr Waggoner and the whole staff. This is my third visit to OrthoSouth for various things, & I’ve always had a great experience.

First and Short Contact
This was an unplanned appointment that I called for and my regular doctor was not available. Dr. Waggoner wasn't as well aware of my ongoing issues and some of his remarks were contrary to what my regular doctor had already told me. So that frustrated me some. He did order x-rays to compare with last visit. We reached a plan of action to try, and he ordered a medication for me. All other staff I dealt with on this trip were as professional and friendly as always. I've been well satisfied with most of my contacts with OrthoSouth.

A great and caring doctor
Dr Waggoner is a great doctor! On this day, he was extremely busy with patients as he had been called out earlier for unexpected surgery. Yet, when he came in to our room to examine my 91 year old Mother, he was very calm, caring and friendly. He listened very intently as my mom answered his questions…without interruption. His demeanor alone put my Mom at ease and cared for! Unfortunately, this is rare in today’s fast paced health care system. Thank you Dr WaggonerLeslie Fargotstein & Pattye Cohen

Satisfied
I have been a patient of Dr. Waggoner since 2016 and recently saw him for neck and back pain following an auto accident. He was attentive and his bedside manner was delightful. He listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I was satisfied with the treatment he recommended.

Taking the “care” out of “healthcare”
I have been a fairly conservative person for most of my life, but after this experience, I will vote for whoever puts doctors like this out of business. I am 8 months into pain and 3 visits deep at Orthosouth. I’ve received very nonchalant “care” despite being in extreme pain 24/7, unable to work, unable to live. This doctor spoke out of both sides of his mouth - told me my herniated disc isn’t pressing on any nerves, while telling me that doing physical therapy will fix my debilitating nerve pain. Wrote me a prescription without telling me he was going to, or what it was for. Told me I have degenerative disc disease in passing, as if I wasn’t receiving terrible news for the first time. They’re charging me $62 because when I asked about a recent nerve test, he said “it was fine.” $62 for that conversation. I paid a $35 copay for him to be in the room for 4 minutes. He started leaving as I was asking “will I be broken forever?” The back of his head answered “let’s start with PT.”

excellent care
My mom fell and broke her arm on a Friday afternoon. While we were in the emergency room we were able to book an appointment for Saturday morning using the online tool. Saturday we got the evaluation and cast put on quickly. On Monday night mom had a lot of swelling and pain. I called the after hours line and got a call back. We were able to walk in on Tuesday morning and got excellent service from the physician's assistant and Chuck the cast technician. With compassion and carefulness the wrapping was loosened and rewrapped. Less than 30 minutes we were done. Loved the soft skills used to reduce the stresses of a painful injury.

No more surveys!!!!!!!
While Dr. Waggoner is an excellent doctor, I’m annoyed by the repeated requests for me to complete the surveys I habitually ignore. Here’s a tip: if I haven’t filled out the survey, don’t send another one! Or another one after that!

Dr. Waggoner is a very nice man and very professional. He listened to me concerning my problem and gave me very helpful information that I could understand about my upcoming procedure. I feel confident that he will do his very best to rid me of the hip pain I am experiencing. I thank God for living in an area where we have many excellent doctors and that is truly a blessing to us who need their care.

When you have an appointment, you be in the waiting room about 5-10 minutes at the most. Then the doctor comes right in to see about your needs. He doesn't tell you what wrong with you, he lets you tell him whats going on with you and then he'll ask you about your previous visits. Great knowledgeable DOCTOR.
