Dr. Steve Hwang, DO

I am so fortunate to have Dr. Steve Hwang as my PCP. I had a very bad experience with my previous PCP who was very rude & indifferent. Dr. Hwang is truly brilliant in diagnosing patients' illnesses. During my 1st appointment with him, he was able to tell me what is causing my erratic blood sugar problem. He provided a Blood testing instrument that can transmit my readings directly to his medical assistant. I feel so happy & comfortable that my diabetes is constantly monitored, so I can get timely advice & treatment. One wonderful quality of Dr. Hwang is his cheerful demeanor. He smiles a lot & puts patients in a comfortable zone. He doesn't rush until he has fully diagnosed the problem. Unlike other physicians, he doesn't look at the clock. He is kind, caring & very down to earth. He has excellent support staff- Nurse Judy, Medical assistant Leiba, front desk staff Jolene, just to name a few. I highly recommend Dr. Hwang, if someone is looking for Quality medical care.

He was quick, kind, informative, and helped me with all my concerns. It was a pleasant experience being his patient for what can be such a stressful and anxiety filled appointment.

I had scheduled a routine physical as I was approaching 51. He asked so many detailed questions and ordered all the tests that were needed. I’m so glad he is my doctor. He has been my dr do 15 years now.

I've only seen him once, but am very happy. He seemed pleasant, concerned and competent. Set up the referral I needed, ordered bloodwork as he should. All seems well. Office staff pleasant, didn't have to wait. All around good experience. SO HAPPY TO FIND A GOOD DOC OUT HERE IN NORTH NATOMAS!!

Dr Hwang was very warm and thorough. I didn’t feel rushed or that I was a number. He has now been my dr for over 12 years!

Moved into the area and needed follow up on my current condition. First seemed to be ok, but on the second visit didn’t seem too listen to my complaint as he was searching for other issues. Did the testing he requested but got a “I think” diagnosis. Called 2 times to get anewers for medications but his nurse/ assistant won’t pass these on as “it is easier to make an an appointment”. Other factors are involved, bottom line - this is not a caretaker for me.

He was super efficient but at the same time very personally. He definitely know his stuff!

Dr Hwang is very good to listen to your concerns and explain issues to you. He is also good to refer his patients to quality providers if you need additional help.

I had a bad injury from an accident and Dr .Steve Hwang and his staff at Natomas Family Practice helped in my recovery every step of the way. He and his team were super responsive to my needs! No wonder Dr. Hwang has such great online ratings!

What a wonderful doctor Dr. Hwang was! He treated me with respect and did not look down on me when I asked him questions. My old doctor did not give me the time of day! So glad I switched to dr. Hwang.

When my son was sick, Dr. Steve Hwang was right there for us. He was so gentle with my son who took an instant liking to him. As a mother, he was able to relieve my concerns. Now, my husband, my mother and I go to him now. He is absuletly one of the BEST!!!!

Since I am elderly, it was really nice for Dr. Hwang to take time with me and all my medical needs. I have been with him for 10’years and he has take care of me well. My children also love him!

I got a same day appt and must have noted the wrong time. When I showed up they said I was an hour late and wouldn't admit me, even on an as available basis. I've had two strokes, and my symptoms concerned me but not life threatening. I had to go to an urgent care center and the doctor there said I should have been seen for the symptoms I had, and even evaluated me for ER admission. No knock on Dr. Hwang, it was his office staff that threw me out.

Great experience. Short wait time, good beside manner and speedy referral

The most horrible experience ever. I switched to Dr. Hwang, hoping to have found the Dr. My family and I were looking for. Just calling to schedule an appointment was dreadful, his staff is rude and I would never allow my family and I to step a foot in his office. His office deserves no stars and I'm so disappointed and would never recommend his office to anyone!

I had several visits with Dr. Hwang to resolve a specific issue. The doctor dismissed my concerns and didn't appear to listen to me. It was disappointing and discouraging. I am still dealing with the issue and have just changed doctors.
