Dr. Steven Allsing, MD

I highly recommend Dr. Steven Allsing and his PA Scott! I have had 4 major joint replacements (2 hips, 2 knees) without any complications. I seriously would be in a wheel chair at this time, significantly limiting my mobility! They are highly professional, and personable, and caring; consequently, explaining each step of surgery and recovery! Fantastic doctors!!!

In 2020 I had both of my knees replaced (TKR) by Dr. Allsing. I am very pleased with both of the surgeries. I can now walk with no pain! I feel like I have my life back and I owe it all to Dr. Allsing and his very competent, caring staff. I would recommend him to anyone needing an orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Allsing gave me my life back! I had been in pain for 4 years, excruciating pain. I had Hip Replacement Surgery on 11/25/2020 and by 12/07/2020 I was walking pain free! Dr. Allsing and his staff are friendly, competent and focused on your care from start to finish. In early October 2020, I had a left knee replacement and I'm very happy with the result. I'm one month post op and my life has been positively changed forever thanks to his talent and care. It's not often you find a surgeon with his own private practice any longer. I never felt like I was just another patient or billing opportunity. Within minutes of my first visit, I quickly understood that his entire team was very concerned about my diagnosis, care and a successful outcome. Dr. Allsing is one of the few in the SD area that leverages the latest surgical procedures (Mako Robotic procedure) which made me even more confident he was the right surgeon for me. I interviewed three other surgeons before making my decision. I knew right away Dr. Allsing and team were the right for me. Thank you Dr. Allsing, PAC-Scott and Office Mgr. Cindy you guys are the best.

Dr. Allsing reattached my husband's torn rotator cuff. And removed the bone spurs. It is stable now! And when I cuddle him on that shoulder (after physical therapy and time for healing, which is so reasonable!) no more sounds of "snap,crackle,pop, glish!" Husband no longer has to worry if it's going to go out, also improved our quality of life. Dr. Allsing is awesome.

I was in desperate need of hip replacement but the surgeons in my medical group were scheduled 6 months out. That wasn't going to work for me. I was able to switch, found Dr Allsing and made an appointment. Got in within a week and had surgery 2 weeks later. Changing to Dr Allsing was the best decision I've ever made. Feel great!!

Dr. Allsing did both my hips last year and I am coming up on one year since my first hip replacement and I feel like my old self again rather young and healthy not old like I was feeling before he replaced both my hips. I was a long distance runner for many years but now have taken up long distance walking without pain and stiffness! I feel great! Good job!

Dr. Allsing and his PA are great! We really liked them, but his staff is impossible to deal with. We requested a gel shot for my boyfriends knee before Thanksgiving, and we still can't figure out if it was approved through insurance or not. We have called the office numerous times, each time we are told we'll get a call back. Never a call back and it's the end of January! We requested a new Orthopedist. Also, good luck calling after hours, his answering services is terrible.

When I first learned that I had to have surgery, I was scared & considering living with the pain. But after meeting with Dr. Allsing & his staff, I felt very confident that I had the right doctor. After the surgery, I feel that I made the best choice & would definitely recommend him to everyone...

I would Absolutely recommend Dr. Allsing to anyone needing surgery. My knee replacement was perfect and I felt cared for and all my concerns answered. His staff was patient and kind and really helped me with pain management.

Dr. Allsing and his staff are wonderful. Everyone is very professional. I have never had to wait for my appt. Everything in his office is handled efficiently and pleasantly. His PA Scott is a definite asset to Dr. Allsing's practice. My surgery went well and I'm very happy with the results.

I had my first acl surgery which apparently was regected by my body(?) then had a second surgery which was apparently a waste because my knee gives out/ buckles on me, even after a thorough physical therapy/ recovery. It's been a few years since the 2nd surgery. I'll never be the same. I fear for my life when I grow old. So many activities I'm not able to enjoy. Oh and I am left with a huge scar on my knee. I would be completely ok with it if I had a somewhat normal right knee.
