Worst Child Psychiatrist Ever
Telehealth
Both kids worked with Dr. Auster. Terrible bedside manner and prescribed medications that were outdated and didn't work well for either child. Not responsive and charged a huge fee on top of the visit that made no sense. No one in billing could explain what the fees were for. Can't reach anyone on the phone only left many messages. Practice not responsive. Terrible that it's hard to find avail child psychiatrists now but don't waste your time with him.

A 30 minute appt is about 7 minutes, but I'm still paying for 30 minutes.... I requested a 15 min appt, but they don't offer them. The staff is not overly friendly; I feel like I'm bothering them but checking in or calling to request an appt. Almost impossible to get someone on the phone.

Got an appointment in a very timely manner thanks to their sensible intake process. By this I mean in about a month. Dr Auster was very professional and very helpful. (I would point out to the writers of bad reviews that there is a shortage of child psychiatrists in Boston. A friend of mine recently described child psychiatry as "imagine at the end of every day of seeing patients for 8 hours, you have another 4-8 hours of follow-up work." So I do not expect care over the phone.)
