Dr. Steven Becker, MD

After being assigned this office as my PCP through insurance, I have since been ignored and when I have been able to speak with anyone I was met with disregard and disrespect. To elaborate, after being 'admitted as a patent' I was unable to contact this office via phone for over three weeks and when I was able to speak with a representative I was informed that I was not a patient and could not receive any assistance without making a payment (which was portrayed to be quite large) because 'this is a concierge office'. When asking for any additional assistance or referral to other primary care providers as my situation is time sensitive, I was informed by the representative that they 'are unaware of any other primary care providers'.

I have been a patient of Dr. Becker for over 25 years. He ALWAYS goes beyond to find the source of my health issues. I am a complicated patient because I have several health conditions, but Dr. Becker is always patient and treats my issues in a timely and compassionate way. The office staff is also accommodating and efficient and always follows up. If your looking for a compassionate Doctor, look no further.

If I have questions he will take the time to answer and make sure I understand, he treats the whole person not just the problem at hand. My family and I trust him completely, can’t find a better doctor in Houston.

I've known Dr. Becker personally and professionally for nearly 30 years. In that time, he's been amazingly ethical and an absolutely first-rate physician, always willing to help. I've brought him problems when other physicians just offered the equivalent of "take two aspirin and call me in the morning" but Dr. Becker takes the time to first carefully listen to you, then to explore a variety of options, and finally work with you to find a practical remedy. Besides his personal approach to medical care as he takes time to get to know you, Dr. Becker is a superb diagnostician. He will always dig deeper to find and treat the underlying problem. For example, I had high blood pressure. Other physicians merely prescribed a drug or two and sent me on my way, with only partial success. Dr. Becker worked with me to find exactly the right cocktail of different medicines that today, 20 years later, remain highly effective. I'd recommend Dr. Becker to anyone looking for top-notch medical care.
