Incredible man and surgeon
Dr. Bines saved my wife’s life. Diagnosed with cancer in her 30s, my wife needed immediate care. Dr. Bines responded with an intensity, care and matter-of-fact counsel that I deeply respected. While being disturbingly forthright about my wife’s condition, he was the most incredibly caring doctor we met in searching for a surgeon (Northwestern and University of Chicago as well). He said to me, “I’m a surgeon, you don’t want this in her, I will take care of her. This can be cured.” And he did. He’s intense, gracious, truthful, skilled, willing, and he has an endearing dry wit. He cares for people. He cares for life. He’s good at what he does. I’m thankful for him.
