He is a textbook professional.
His practice in Bronxville was closed because he sold his practice and they decided to shut him down. He treated my mother regularly for AMD. He was very professional.

Retinal Abnormality
My visits over the past few years have always been informative and pleasant. I left my appointments with insight and understanding far beyond the level I had when I arrived. Office staff is above and beyond, always engaging and always pleasant. I can’t think of a single alteration in this practice that would improve my experience or results! THANK YOU

Per the other comments, Dr. Bodine continues to be detached, rude and condescending. He twitted me about my BMI (I am athletic) only to then disparage the system when I countered. Worst, during an uncomfortable procedure, he belittled my pain tolerance and completely lost his composure, launching into a tirade. I was there for 2.5 hours. Perhaps technically Dr. Bodine has merit, but I’m not going to stick around to find out. Btw, his staff were kind and competent.

Best retina doctor ever! My first encounter was a few years ago with a retina detachment. As an emergency my insurance gave me little choice. Started losing vision but he saw me quickly. Very busy office, great staff. A few minutes after midnight on Friday the 13th he operated. Restored 100% vision! This year a hole in my macula developed. Not an emergency so I went back to Dr. Bodine. The Amsler Test showed a dozen broken/wavy lines and my vision deteriorated to 20/100. End result is the Amsler Test shows only one, yes, only one wavy line and none broken! I couldn't be happier with Dr. Bodine and his staff. Always treated me well. I wouldn't trust my retina to anyone else! From 100% lost vision the first time to near perfect Amsler Test now! He is the guy for retina and macula issues. Even at 50 miles one way I'd go a thousand miles!

Not good. I found him to be unpleasant and detached. I was in the office for a little over 3 hours. He kept doing the same procedure over and over and at one point wanted me to lie down in the dark for another test. He kept testing my right eye when I was there for problems with my left eye. He also commented on my height, weight and my overall BMI index, which I found strange.

Horrible doctor and staff, rude and condescending, I had a issue getting a shot in my eye and he dismissed me from his practice, he then sent me a letter stating that I need to go to the hospital for major sedation. He also says that my BMI is to high and to consider weight loss surgery. The remark was totally uncalled for and out of his rhelm of practice. find another doctor do not patronize.

He is an unpleasant man. Brusque and borderline abusive to patients, many of whom are elderly, strongly suggest you accompany elderly family member to appointment before putting anyone under his care. Office is not conducive to concerns of elderly (tight spaces make wheelchairs awkward to use, suburban style bathroom is not easy for needs of handicapped patients.)

Dr. Bodine is a great doctor.. I had an emergency with both my eyes. I was not his patient. Westmed recommended him to me. He took me right away. Office was very busy. Did not leave his office until he finished my eyes at 10:45 PM! This is very rare and I don't know of any doctors who would do this...
