Easy to schedule an appointment especially if you are flexible with location.Staff is generally friendly and warm.Dr Cohen treated me throughout a hugh risk twin pregnancy in 1998 after multiple miscarriages. Although he did hospitalize me for many months I quickly realized that HE is and was the reason those two 26yr old were able to be born albeit 11 weeks premature. He visited almost every day for months. Always kind, always caring, always ready to answer 100 questions of a terrified higj risk Mom to be. I recently saw Dr. Cohen for a visit and realize that he hasn't changed, still wonderfully kind, knowledgeable, funny , completly professional and compassionate. I'm way past child bearing age but will return to Dr. Cohen again and again for annual exams or issues.I would drive anywhere he went.Trust is earned not given and he earned mine in 1998 and has it still.

Was so happy to find a NYU OB closer to me, but after scheduling was told 'no child visitors,' including my 17 month old son. This is pretty unacceptable, and a huge disappointment. Can't speak to his ability as a physician, but that speaks volumes about the practice

Dr. Cohen delivered my daughter via C-section in August. Throughout my pregnancy and previous pregnancy loss, he was caring, kind, punctual, funny, and overall extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Very affirming and wonderful experience.

Dr Cohen delivered my son 12 years ago and was my obgyn after - although he didn't deliver my daughter because I gave birth to her on Sunday. He is the BEST obgyn/doctor in this field that I ever went to. I've been to a handful, mostly females and I would NEVER want to go anywhere else. -Anna Alexandrakis

I switched to Dr. Cohen when I moved back up to NY and found out I was pregnant with my second child. I had a traumatic labor experience at another hospital and my last provider was pushy and didn’t take the time to sit with us. I promised myself I would find a doctor who listened and was empathetic. So far the care that I have received from Cohen has been top notch. He listens, takes the time to follow up and call me to review results, and overall just makes me and my husband feel very comfortable. I recommend him to anyone looking for a new obgyn.

Absolutely amazing physician. Calm, compassionate, intelligent and excellent bedside manner. I had an emergency c/s and two VBACS after and I cannot say enough good things! Extremely supportive VBAC provider. Office staff friendly and helpful. Hardly ever a long wait for an appt.

Dr. Cohen is the best ob/gyn I've ever seen....and I've had many. After suffering a natural miscarriage and still having remnants of the pregnancy inside of me that didn't come out naturally, Dr. Cohen performed a D & C. His communication and bedside manner is outstanding and really sets him apart from any other doctor I've come across. He's attentive, explains everything well, and always asks if you have questions and understand everything. He called me personally the night before the procedure to go over everything again. The day of the procedure, I was extremely nervous, but the staff at LIJ were amazing. He came in to the prep area to see me before the surgery and escorted me himself into the operating room. He checked in on me after the procedure and called me later that day to see how I was feeling. From beginning to end, I felt like I was in great hands. Dr. Cohen was my OB for both high risk pregnancies. He is also my regular GYN. He is laid back, personable, and patient.

Words can not express how much I appreciate Dr Cohen. He is the best Dr EVER. I am a very picky and asking 100 of questions type of person and he took the time out to make me feel comfortable all the time. I have recommended him to all my friends who are pregnant or looking to become pregnant. They too love him. His level of concern for your health and if your pregnant your child is one that can not be described.
