I'm a nurse. I've had the poor misfortune of having a number of leg infections. The only positive thing about it was Dr. Dittes was my infectious disease doctor. He integrates data with interviewing how the patient feels-this is becoming a lost art as more and more advanced medical machinery enters the workplace. The response of young doctors is to "just look at the numbers". Future doctors are losing the ability to properly question patients in a logical and methodical manner Dr Dittes, does both: examines the numbers and my infection and then asks me how I feel. Great doctor with a great personality. What more could a patient ask for?.

I have been a patient of Dr Dittes for 25 years. He is very personable and he developed a treatment for me 25 years ago that has been extremely effective in preventing cellulitis infections in an arm that was compromised by lymph node remove. If I do get an infection, normally due to not following the plan, he often will not even require an appointment to treat. Nor does he require "yearly" appointments like so many doctors. He only wants to treat people who have real infection issues. Recently a weekend urgent care diagnosed a "thing" on my chest as being an infection. When it didn't heal I went to Dr Dittes who immediately recognized it as a Derm issue. not an infection. I went to the Dermatologist and treatment cleared it up. I have utmost confidence in Dr Dittes!

Dr. Ditties treated me when I was in Southdale hospital with babesiosis. He saw me every morning and always took time to ensure that I had a complete understanding of my condition and the treatment I was receiving.

Dr. Dittes is providing HIGHLY INACCURATE information about Lyme disease in the Twin Cities. I have late stage Lyme disease, this is what causes people to have so many health problem. Lyme IS in ALL 50 states. 2 weeks of Doxy is NOT enough. A bullseye indicates a SECOND Lyme infection. Lyme is sexually transmitted. It is not just Deer Ticks that carry Lyme. RUN if he tells you Lyme doesn't exist in the Twin Cities! It is so unfortunate that he isn't properly educating himself.
