Rude and Unskilled Surgeon
He did my colon surgery so I really wanted to trust this doctor. I had to have what he did fixed by another surgeon. He can be very rude. When I asked him where a certain organ was located in my abdomen he said, 'On you, who knows.' I found that answer insulting. I found another surgeon who is professional and respectful. There are other reviews similar to mine. Read them and take them seriously. Do yourself a favor and don't take a chance with Dr Fassler. There are far better doctors.

Dissappointed
After waiting 45 minutes in the dingy waiting and exam rooms, Fassler walked in to the exam room, gave me one quick side-eye look, and apparently decided right then that I wasn't worth his time or professional effort. He was curt, dismissive, rude, insulting, and displayed behavior unbecoming of a medical doctor. He offered two surgical options, both presented in the most negative way possible. Even the scheduling staff wouldn't answer my questions only giving me a "hmmph" to acknowledge I had spoken. Gambling your life with this guy is not worth it.

Dr. Fassler is a very competent and compassionate doctor/surgeon. He is really living up to the mission of providing the best care to his patients. I was recently under his care and was very pleased. In addition, the staffs at the Abington office which I visited are very friendly and understanding.

I’m profoundly grateful to Dr. Fassler! It’s a frightening and life changing experience to get a cancer diagnosis, but I’ve come through treatment and surgery and am doing well! From diagnosis, through two surgeries, and multiple office visits, Dr. Fassler has been kind and communicative. His humor, and positive sincerity carried me through. Everyone at the practice is friendly and made things as easy and clear as possible. We’re lucky to have them in this area. Now I’m getting back to my life, and I’m very grateful to have it. Thank you Dr. Fassler! (and everyone at Colon and Rectal Associates!)

I had rectal cancer which ultimately I cured with a Frankincense suppositories and diet. Following an MRI and a needle biopsy that proved that I was cancer-free, Fassler told me that he thought I still had cancer and should have a rectal rescission, meaning wearing a bag for the rest of my life. He made fun of my holistic efforts and refused to accept that they worked when chemo/radiation did not. This guy is a money hungry jerk and should be avoided at all costs, especially at the cost of ruini

Had my rectum and sigmoid colon removed. Ileostomy reverse done 2 months later. I was given no explanation of what caused me to require surgery when asked. Was hospitalized five times over the course of 5 months with severe abdominal pain. Radiologist, ER doctors, Upper GI doctor and my family doctor all knew I had another bowel obstruction. Got a 2nd opinion at another hospital. They found obst from ileostomy reversal. 2 more parts of bowel removed. Need another surgery due to their screwup

I really liked his demeanor, but I wasn't informed of what treatment I was getting or what to expect afterward. It put me in an awkward place when I didn't know if my bad reaction was normal and couldn't articulate what the testament was. I complained but I got more of an explanation then an apology or practice correction. I did not feel like my concerns were taken seriously and I will not go back to him.
