Dr. Steven Fayer, MD

I'll preface my comments by saying that as a fellow mental health professional, I understand the impact a negative review can have on a doctor's reputation. I have NEVER before posted such a review and am reluctant to do so now, but I feel I must warn potential patients before this individual has a chance to harm them the way that he harmed me. Maybe he was just having a very bad day, but judging by how he treated my spouse and me, he lacks even an ounce of compassion for other people's suffering. Anyone with abuse or neglect in their past should avoid this doctor, unless they want to be retraumatized.

Dr. Steven Fayer is a wonderful resource. He's at least as knowledgeable and professional as any psychiatrist I've ever encountered or sought treatment from. Among my favorite of his qualities is his ability to be direct and frank with his patients. He demands honesty and trust, which are two of the cardinal tenets of psychotherapy. It won't work otherwise. I always have and will feel completely comfortable speaking with Dr. Fayer and I highly value his approach, his methods, and his advice.

This "Dr." Is a joke. He is a liar, and absolutely did not listen to the information I explained to him. I've never been to an appointment where a Dr. interupts the session for forgetting to feed pidgeons and then needing to make a phone call, and making a client leave his office, only to wait for 40 minutes before he returns. Absolutely would never recommend him to anyone.

Been My Doc for years and is practical, insightful, helpful and first rate in all ways I can think of.

Dr. Fayer made me feel at home, l was able to discuss my problems without holding back, l will definitely recommend Dr. Fayer to family and Friends
