Dr. Steven Gillon, DO

Dr Gillon was my dr for decades and the quality of care was amazing. He was kind and caring, a great diagnostician and spent a lot of time with me. Then he sold his practice and works for what I call a factory. The quality of care plummeted. By 11:30 am he had already seen 15 patients. He misdiagnosed me and I wound up in the ER. I am very sad to give him a terrible review but he is who he is now, not before.

My experience was fine until I read the doctor's notes on the portal. He attributed my symptoms to be caused by the fact that I had been diagnosed with PTSD after my brother's murder. Okay, so, had 2 parasitic infections in which the amoeba lies dormant and wreaks havoc when my body is not optimal. I also have stage 3 Endometriosis in which my surgeon found that my colon was attached to my ovary. Endo and gastro issues are directly related. Yet, his notes so ignorant and condescending. I also found a wonderful integrative/functional medicine doctor who was able to find that I had low thyroid, low NK cells and B cells and low B, D and Selenium. So, no doc - it "ain't all in my head." Then, I get a phone call out of the blue to reschedule my abdominal ultrasound after 8 months of not hearing from them. So, why not. I am not pleased with how my experience has been post colonoscopy. My medicine was called in to a pharmacy in another state and has to be mailed. Instead of getting relieve I have to wait the weekend to receive my script. I left an urgent message on the voice mail since I am bleeding because I don't have my script to see if I can do ANYTHING.. No call back so I guess I am on my own.

Horrible experience, didn't belive in my symptoms.

I have been a patient of Dr Gillon for many, many years. I trust his knowledge, care and support in every illness I had in the past and present. He listens to you and pays attention to your medical history, very important for me coming from a family with history of different cancers. I had Dr Gillon as my Primary Doctor for years and when I get sick, he is still the doctor I go to. His staff is friendly and understanding. I highly recommend him. I trust him very much with every health issue I have.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gillon’s for many years. My mother worked for and was a patient of Dr. Gillon’s during my adolescent years. She always spoke highly of him and suggested that I use him as my own physician. 20 plus years later, I am still a loyal patient of his and I am forever gratetful to him. His compassion and hands on nature cured a dear friend of mine from a chronic disease. I recently fell ill and visited Dr. G. As usual, I was reassured by his dedicated and caring nature.

I don't recommend this doctor as just recently and years back made inappropriate comments to female patients. Checks marital status in your chart and makes inappropriate flirtatious comments in examining room. Never went back for my colonoscopy or followed endoscopy results.

I'm very glad I found Dr. Gillon!

I have been in pain for over a year. Every doctor (and there were many) did nothing to help me, did not listen to my pains, tested me for unrelated issues and basically but me through hell. I saw Dr. Gillion and for the first time in over a year i am almost completely pain free. He has been absolutely amazing and i can't be happier that i found him!

My mom uses Dr Gillon. I have seen him on occasion and I think he's a wonderful doctor. He is helpful and very supportive in whatever situation comes up. His staff is wonderful and very caring. I think he's an excellent doctor.

Scheduled 3 appointments and never saw him. First time saw NP with warning nor explaination. 2nd time waited over 45 minutes as patients go in and out. We hear him talking to staff. Get ushered into exam room and told he is not there. 3rd toime confirm 3 days prior. Told to call on day of. Call 7 times, no answer, voicemail full. Arrive and told Dr is not in. No appologies. Then rudly told they tried to call us sevwral times. No calls ever received on 3 possible phones. What a shame!

After my third attempt to see dr. Gillon who has not shown up in the office , and no one in his office had the decency to call And let us know he was not in at my scheduled appointment.we will not be returning.

Dr. Gillon is an Amazing Doctor. Always truthful & attending to his patients to the best of their ability! He is a doctor that makes you feel as if you were at home. Never been in such a comfortable setting & pleasant facility ever!! He is highly appreciated & I am blessed to have found him to care for me. Thank you Dr. Gillon!! You are phenomenal & I plan to have you care for me for many many years!!!! Thank You! Truly blessed!! Its so hard to find Great doctors when you need them. God Sent!!

Dr. Gillon was the most unprofessional, arrogant, sarcastic person I've ever met. I cannot believe he is in the health care industry! Besides questioning whether I was healthy or not, (as if I was there because I had nothing better to do), he told me that one of my doctors who treated me for an unrelated condition was "useless", and the other MD who is a well respected physician world wide is a "quack, and needed to be locked up".. I left the office in the middle of the consultation.

I began having very severe abdominal issues when I was 22-in 2003. After multiple emergency surgeries for bowel obstructions, I went from one gastro dr to the next trying to find out why-with zero success. It wasn't until I saw Dr. Gillon in 2014 that I was finally properly diagnosed and he helped set me on a course of treatment that is essential to my being able to function on a daily basis. His staff is so kind and wonderful. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him and his office!

Excellent interpersonal skills. He is very friendly, he makes you feel very comfortable and taken care of. I highly recommend him.

Disgusting staff who had absolutely no expertise in something as simple as health insurance and scheduling appointments, comp0letely unprofessional.

Great Doctor! Spends a lot of time with you for the initial consulation and really pays attention. Very thorough and knowledgable. Great bedside manner also!!

He is always patient and actually listens. My husband and I have been patients for over twenty years and continue to return back to him even though we are 45 minutes away. Professionalism and quality care is always delivered by him and his staff!

Dr. Gillon has shown me he cares about his patients and is an excellent diagnostic physician. My wife has been a nurse at Englewood Hospital for 25 years and I have the option to use any Doctor I want. He's the one I chose years ago and I've stuck with him for over 10 years now. I'd recommend him to anyone.
