Dr. Steven Glazier, MD

Just had my 10 day follow-up with Dr. Glazier. I had 2 herniated discs replaced between my C5-C6-C7. I have had nerve pain for more than 10 years and a good day was 6 out of 10 pain for me. My herniations worsened and pain management was no longer an option for me. I had trust in my pain management doctor and he had the same procedure done with Dr. Glazier with great outcomes. I had a consult with Dr. Glazier where he explained all the possible outcomes, both good and bad from disc replacement. For once I could see the light at the end of the tunnel when it came to pain relief. In two weeks I was on the operating table. I have no nerve pain now. I have some residual pain from the procedure which has been getting better each day since the operation and is completely normal. Aside from being a patient, I am also a nurse and Dr. Glazier has excellent bedside manner. My only wish is that I could have gotten this procedure done sooner. Mahalo to Dr. Glazier, the nurses, and his team at Straub.

Dr. Glazier operated on my son for a Pilocytic Astrocytoma in Winston-Salem, NC. He is by farthe most incompetent, lying MD that I have ever encountered. He lied to my son's father and myself regarding my son's condition and the brain damage that he inflicted upon my son with his surgery has left my son with life long disabilities that my son will never overcome.I urge anyone with a child who needs any type of brain surgery to get more than one opinion before allowing someone to operate.And I encourage every parent to always get a hard copy of every medical transaction that involves your child or loved one. Don't be afraid to question anything that a MD states. Always document everything.

This year on May 12th it will be 28years since I had brain surgrey at Wake forest Baptist hospital. This year will be 28 years seizure free. I work now at Wakeforest Baptist hospital main campus in the Adult ER. Been working as a nurse for 23 years.

Told Dr Glazier would make a decision based on medical records alone - without seeing, hearing, or physically examining me. What type of professional handles the care of his patients in such away. The cases that come across his desk are far from the average cold. Waited 8 business days after several hours of handling mixups and 0 returned phone calls, to be told he doesn't deal with spinal fusions. This doctor & clinic are the epitome of what's wrong with the healthcare system. Avoid at all cost
