Look elsewhere
Generally, I Iearned enough through my interactions with Dr Keilin and the Emory team to feel 80% good about current state. Other comments are about his compassion and humanity. I verify it's a machine-like interaction. I would care less about that if I came away 100% confident we resolved the ongoing issue.2 interactions:1. His front office was almost painful in requesting prior records from my PCP and relevant specialists. I called each and passed along the fax number - as well as re-verified these records were sent to his office. At the visit, no one had the records, and my interaction was greenfield. Thus, their line of inquiry was primitive and questioning of everything I'd gone through before. AND a junior doctor or resident did the 20' intake which was insulting ('what you're describing is just reflux, right?'). 2. Procedure team was awesome. He was mechanical. No follow-up except bill collection.

Highly Recommend
I was referred to Dr. Keilin for a procedure only performed at Emory. From the appointment through the procedure he was professional, attentive, listened to me and explained the procedure in detail. I highly recommend him.

Poor ability to instill peace and confidence
He's supposed to be a top notch surgeon but my first interaction with him did nothing te reassure me that I'm in good hands for surgery. From body language, facial expressions to what came out of his mouth-lack of care for the human in me and condescension. I'm not happy.

2 Procesures - Great Experience
First time using the Emory system in April 2022 …. and was impressed with the communication, care, pre-op and day of, and follow-up. Dr Keilin really had a great way about leading the team of HC providers involved and explaining things in detail, but easy to understand. All the nurses, anesthesia professionals spoke to me, not at me. Highly recommend Dr Keilin - he made me feel relaxed and reassured with his bedside manner, knowledge and communication.

Advised by 2 different nice and caring doctors, to remove large polyps required removal of ½ of my colon (maybe temp. colostomy bag, weeks of sick leave and $$$$). Dr. Keilin successfully removed both polyps during a colonoscopy, saving my health, time and money. He treated my condition, not my age. No, he is not warm and fuzzy, but he is an outstanding medical doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Keilen if you are a no-nonsense person, that don’t enjoy the attention of being sick.

Should not be a Doctor. Has no compassion.. He was very rude and did not listen to my concerns about my condition. Refuse to treat me said he did not have enough records. My doctors sent him everything he needed for my first visit and history back to 2005. He could have called any of my doctors and got what he needed. Never examined me but sure took my co-payment. I would not recommend him to anyone. I have never been to a doctor who treated me like he did. He thinks everyone is stupid. I am a lot older than him and I was taught to have respect for others. I guess because he has a Dr. in front of his name he thinks he can treat you with disrespect. Do not go to him !!! I should have listened to the reviews I read on him. Complete waste of time. Idiot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This doctor is a complete idiot. He was very cocky and rude. I was sent to Dr. Keilin by my gastro doctor for a second opinion concerning my condition pancreatic atrophy. I have been treated for this before and had stents placed in pancreas twice and at that time was told I have celiac disease. I waited in a room for over 2 hours for this doctor. A young lady in training came in after the 2 hours and asked about my surgeries and condition and told me she was going to take my records to show him. This told me all the records my doctor had sent had not been reviewed by him or his staff. After another 15 mins. they come in my room and the first words out of his mouth were I am not going to treat you. Then he told me I did not have celiac disease or pancreatitis because I had not had any test done until my recent trouble. I have a kock pouch and he wanted to argue about that condition. He never examined me. He was quick to question every doctor I have ever seen. He had no empathy. RUDE

It sucked. He had a Fellow do a procedure on my wife that he was scheduled to do and they botched it up. Her pancreas is beyond repair because of the damage by the Fellow Dr. Magdi trying to force a stint for over 1 hour in to her pancreatic duct

Was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Correct diagnosis, but he was all over the place in diagnosing me and lacked understanding about the disease. His treatment recommendation was “look up Celiac on the Mayo Clinic’s website and just do what they say”.

Told me I had IBS for several years during which all treatments he suggested failed because I didn't have that condition and had something gynecological that ended up requiring surgery. Ended up going back to him for something a few years later and he tried to tell me I had IBS again. He was wrong again.
