Dr. Steven Lovejoy, MD

In 1991 I was in the care of a group in Winston-Salem. My leg had a very bad bone infection and my doctor was just waiting until amputation was required. We sought help from Charlotte Orthopedic Specialists. Dr. Lovejoy had compassion for my situation and took me on as a patient. He and his group decided to attempt to save my leg and a year later I was back walking on it. Dr. Lovejoy was the physician for whom I will always be thankful. Probably the best Doctor our son (with multiple profound disabilities ) ever saw. He exudes kindness, caring & he was very skilled as a surgeon. I think he’s retired. I hope he’s enjoying his life.

I have gor to say I am very appalled by some of the reviews I have seen regarding Dr. Lovejoy. This man is the epitome of an excellent physician in my eyes. He is highly educated, his work is impeccable and while the field he has worked in for years can be very trying and stressful he still remains full of compassion for his patients. This is the opinion of someone who is both a mother of not one but Two patients of Dr. Lovejoy as well as a fellow Healthcare professional. Dr. Lovejoy, A++++++++

My son saw Dr. Lovejoy over a period of five years after his colleague retired. His colleague was a very tough act to follow, but we developed just as much confidence in Dr. Lovejoy. He is very knowledgable and truly listens to his patients.

Dr. Lovejoy did emergency hip surgery on our 12 year old son with SCFE. He did a great job and was very thorough and attentive. Our son is great now and has recovered full function of his leg.

Dr Lovejoy is a great physician with good bedside manners. However, the only issue that i have is that you are unable to call his Hendersonville office directly. All calls go through the Nashville office. I was on the phone for 15 minutes and was transferred to 3 different people and still had to leave a msg in Nashville for someone from Hendersonville to return my call. This is absolutely ridiculous. If the office is in Hendersonville then we should be able to call that office directly.

Both of our children have seen him for broken arms and he's amazing!!!!!

So we were referred to this doctor by our pediatrician just to have some some concerns looked at for 2 of our children. We waited 2.5 hrs to see the doctor finally we spoke to the doctor for about 30 mins total for both children no medicines or procedures were done except my son had X-rays done and according to the bill most of X-ray was coverd by insurance. But the 800.00 bill for 30 mins of this doctors time is crazy. Never were we informed how expensive this would be so . BEWARE PARENTS!!!!!!
