An amazing doctor
I had seen many doctors in a years time. No one could help me or find out what was wrong. I was refered to Doctor Lovett and was told he is the best. He not only found out what was wrong with me, but has me on the mend. He is a smart and skilled doctor. Saved my life! My wife and i cant thank him enough.

We were very pleased!!
We felt like Dr. Lovitt made our visit very comfortable and very much put my husband at ease. He took his time and we felt like he wasn't rushing through the visit to get to his next patient. We were MOST impressed at how quickly we were taken back to a room and seen. Dr. Lovitt and his staff were very respectful of our time!

Best medical experience ever
Dr Lovitt and his entire staff were absolutely fantastic, from high level scheduling to the most helpful check in! Dr Lovitt explained each step of the visit process and personally hosted each step of the process rather than handing me off. Not only was the process more than comforting, the environment and personalities of the staff made what could be a nerve wrecking experience rather enjoyable . I left wishing that each medical experience I have moving forward mirrored the experience I had with his practice. Thank you Dr Lovitt!

I’m an out of state patient looking for a second opinion from a professional. My circumstances and symptoms are atypical and was referred by a local Houston neuro surgeon. Dr.Lovitt meet me last minute and was through. I have to complete an additional procedure but felt his insight lead to a thoughtful investigative response.

Unpredictable medical care
I was experiencing drop foot syndrome in my left leg. I first consulted with a spinal neurosurgeon, who after extensive tests and imagery, determined that my condition was not the result of a spinal disorder. Dr. Steven Lovitt was then recommended, and my primary care physician forwarded him my file. At my consultation with Dr.Lovitt, he asked me a some questions, made a visual inspection of my foot and it’s movements, and then conducted an EMG test. (It should be noted that my file already contained EMG test results.) Apart from the visual assessment of my foots movements, Dr. Lovitt did not visually examine or palpate my left leg. Dr. Lovitt’s diagnosis was that I had an idiopathic condition. During my consultation with Dr. Lovitt I observed that he was distracted and dismissive of my questions. At the time I thought he was simply having a doctors equivalent of a “bad hair day”. Later I discovered a tiny lump behind my left knee and my primary care physician ordered an MRI. The M

We were so happy that we found Dr. Steven Lovitt! We were so impressed! Not only did he diagnose my husband’s rare Huntington’s Disease, that two other neurologists failed to do, but he showed genuine caring and compassion. On our first visit he told us that he was ordering a new round of tests and we’d meet with him again later for a follow-up. We had been through so many tests previously that I felt a little discouraged. As he was about to walk out of the room, he saw the look on my face, stopped, stepped back in the room and asked me what was wrong. I expressed my discouragement, and he explained his reasoning for the new round of tests. We left feeling relieved and when we came back for the follow-up, he had the diagnosis. When he then referred us to the Huntington’s Center for Excellence, he reassured us by telling us that if his brother had the disease, this is where he would send him. Dr. Lovitt is extremely knowledgeable and cares!

We were desperate to find a neurologist to see my husband sooner than 6 months away and Dr. Lovitts office said yes. They made an appt 3 days after our initial call over their lunch break. He didn’t rush the evaluation, was very clear in explaining his findings, and is helping us start this long journey. I couldn’t be more grateful!

Dr. Lovitt is absolutely fantastic. He listened patiently as I described my symptoms then performed multiple test then explaining why he was doing them and what he was looking for to complete his diagnosis. Dr. Lovitt explains complex material in a very simple and easy to understand way. He also went out of his way to take notes of my appointment as I needed my information recorded. Though it was my first time seeing him he truly cared about my well being and answered every question I had with valuable knowledge and insight in the subject. I would highly recommend to see Dr. Lovitt if possible.

I found Dr Lovitt to be concerned and engaging. He listened well and explained what he thought was as going on with me. He quickly did some tests to rule out common things and then gave me an order for an MRI. The MRI showed an alarming condition and Dr Lovitt saw me within two hours and even lined up a surgeon and sent me straight to the hospital. I don’t think I could have found a better doctor at that critical time.

I highly recommend Dr Lovitt. He has a natural ability to explain complicated medical information in simple terms, taking his time, showing concern and with a natural calming affect. I think he’s very smart. He is organized and took rapid care of my husband who had a medical emergency. I can’t say enough about what a great doctor he is.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Lovitt to my family and friends, as he was recommend to us by two other well respected physicians. I attended an appointment with my pregnant daughter who had been in a car accident and sustained a head injury leading to a seizure at the scene. We visited with Dr. Lovitt for a follow up visit after being released from the hospital. I was impressed with the time he took to evaluate my daughter and to provide explanations of why she may have experienced her first seizure. He helped her decide whether to continue her seizure medication. We felt at ease with his approach and appreciated the information and recommendations he provided. This helped give us a great sense of relief during a very trying time for my daughter.

After seeing several doctors, none were able to help me. On my first visit to Dr. Steven Lovitt, he pin-pointed my problem, explained what my problem was and put me on a pathway to resolution. Needless to say, I am ecstatic to have someone who can help.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Lovitt?
My appointment with Dr. Lovitt was very disappointing, especially since I had read that he considers himself an "old-fashioned kind of doctor" and because other patients said that he "really cares". I saw neither of those during my visit. Dr. Lovitt couldn't instantly find a reason for my symptoms, and he seemed to dismiss them. They are VERY real, yet he seemed to have a better place to be. What a disappointment!

He was fine until I presented problems that he couldn't easily fix. When my migraines required more than a simple prescription, he kept throwing random prescriptions at me, then decided to slough me off to another specialist, as though I was too much trouble. How nice of a specialist to treat patients that are difficult as too much work. I think his staff of very nice ladies (I say that honestly) cared more than he did.
