Dismissive and I’ll-Mannered
Was upset with me that I came in as a walk-in patient at his walk-in clinic, and was very rude with me throughout the visit because of this. Kept saying off-comments to his understudy; referring to me. Rushed the appointment , and made me feel silly for coming in without an appointment. Was also very non-empathetic about the situation that caused my visit. Would not recommend him.

Excellent!
I cannot comprehend the couple of negative reviews. I had trigger-finger release surgery this month and am healing fantastically well. I know it sounds a bit strange to say about a surgical procedure, but it was actually a very positive experience. There was little to no pain at all afterwards. I never once even needed to use the narcotic. Dr. Novotny explained everything well and even made me laugh. I would have no hesitation whatsoever if I needed to have the same procedure performed on my other hand.

Anyone else
Scheduling an appt was easy because no one wants to see him. He’s awful, and he has no interest in listening to anyone but himself. His staff deserves better

Terrible bed-side manner. Performed 3 surgeries on my hands. First 2 went well. No issues and fully recovered by terrible scarring. Last surgery was horrible. Never healed correctly. Ended up going to specialist in Columbus and he said the surgeon who performed my first surgery did a horrible job. Would never recommend to anyone to see for any reason. There are too many other good doctors in the area to waste your time with him.

My teenage daughter suffered a pretty serious broken finger playing softball that required surgery with pins & screws a year & a half ago. He diligently explained the procedure and said she may require a second surgery later to remove scar tissue to achieve more flexibility which she recently received. We couldn't be more satisfied with the results of Dr. Novotny's work as well as his kindness and that of his staff. Now my daughter is back playing softball again at the collegiate level.
