Turn and run
Completely incompetent psychiatrist with a superiority complex and absolutely no desire to help his patients. Dr. Runyan is almost like a character straight out of a bad movie, overprescribing medication to sedate patients, making inappropriate remarks and handing out arbitrary punishments to those who disagree with his practices. This man should not be in any sort of position of power and has done damage to those under his care, including those at the Psych ward at Rutland hospital where is the director. Be careful if your loved ones are under his care and search for a second opinion on any diagnosis he makes.

I want to rephrase a word in my review. He did not threaten my daughter. She felt bullied and when she told him to leave the room, he did not!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Runyan?
Very toxic person who uses a classical behavioral model with an intolerance of different opinions by colleagues, family members of his clients, and seems to want control of the environment, evoking threats and questionable discipline for his clientload. Stay clear, especially if you are the one in a crisis. It was suggested by who I thought was a good friend, and well, my daughter is in worse shape for his effect. Talked with another therapist, off the record, and WOW!
