Constant changes...
My experience with Dr. Siepser and my cataracts was one of changes. The surgical procedure went well, although he did complain about my eye depth making it difficult. The healing process also went well. The problems came with the results. I had stressed in all of my pre-procedure visits, and had in my medical record, that I wanted to have replacement lenses that provided good distance vision and that I would be quite satisfied continuing to wear glasses for close-up work. I have done this for over sixty years without any problems. The staff member who explained the procedure and lens choices pushed me to have higher priced lenses, rather than the standard monocular ones, explaining that the doctor could modify them after the procedure to fine tune them. This was not the case, so that was $5800 additional that I did not need to spend. For some reason, Dr. Siepser decided that I really needed implants that would provide good close-up vision and not the distance vision that I had requeste

Couldn’t be Happier
Dr. Siepser and his staff were great, he listened and cared for all my questions, eased all my concerns, the staff were great and friendly. My LASIK Surgery was worry free and I couldn’t be happier and thankful for Dr. Siepser and his Team.

Dr Siepser was very arrogant. I went in due to a sty that was not going away. He told new I needed it removed. I had questions about the procedure and he basically told me he had staff to answer questions and would not answer any of mine. He did however try to sell me on lazer surgery and said oh that's the salesman in me. Also when I set up my appointment to have my sty removed the office told me I could drive home. It's a good thing I did have a ride because they rushed me out 10 to 15 minutes after my procedure. My eye was completely swollen shut and still bleeding. Provided really no instruction except to ice it for a day or two, gave me gauze to put over my eye and sent me on my way.

After I had a blunt trauma to my eye, Dr Siepser made time to see me on the Monday before christmas after he was scheduled to leave. His staff also waited for me. He scheduled me for soonest surgery and gave me his cell phone number. He called me both the night before the surgery and the night after. I am happy to say he did a marvelous job repairing my iris. His staff is incredibly accommodating!

I agree with the reviews which describe Dr S as arrogant. He yelled at me during my office visit. He also does not seem able to respond to questions and address concerns, saying only that he wants to make me see better. Dr S is one of the rudest people I have ever met, I won't be back to him.

I had DMEK surgery in November for Fuchs dystrophy in my right eye. The office staff was terrific every step of the way. I had complete confidence in Dr. Siepser. I am happy to say my eye is healing nicely and we are about to schedule the surgery for my other eye. Bless the Doctor and professional staff

Dr Siepser is a genius in his field. He fixed all my vision problems and it Looks like i will never Need glasses or contacts again, not even for reading. It was expensive, yes, but hey, you got only 2 eyes and all follow ups are free. I wanted the best for my eyes.

Dr. Siepser is a very good surgeon, and I have had several laser surgeries through him. I have enjoyed a glass-free existence for approximately 11 years post-cataract and glaucoma procedures in both eyes. Though I will need glasses for some project work again, this is not a permanent solution, and I know that when the time comes for another procedure, Dr. Siepser will make the best corrections. He is very attentive and does not miss anything going on with your eyes. He is excellent.

Dr. Steven Siepser is the most thorough and caring ophthalmologist I have ever been to. His staff is more than accommodating and from the minute I walked in the door of his practice one year ago, I had a genuine feeling of being welcomed and cared about. I am one year postop Raindrop Near Vision Inlay implantation and my reading vision and computer vision has improved so much that I do not need to wear my readers anymore. I can seamlessly go from reading a magazine to doing a search online

Dr. Siepser performed my laser eye surgery years ago. He yelled at me during the entire surgery, pissed that I was moving my eyes on purpose, he said. (This was after waiting for him to show up for over 2 hours to arrive for my procedure.). Afterwards, I was SO stressed out that I cried hysterically. It was one of the worst experiences of my life! Later he sent me a plant as if that would make up for being emotionally abused like that. Don't subject yourself to him. Just sayin'!

I just had the LASIK vision correction procedure on Thursday, March 23rd. When the procedure was complete, I sat up and could see the clock without glasses for the 1st time ever. I was ecstatic. I could see the smile spread across Dr. Siepser's face as I said loudly "I can see the clock". It was obvious that he gets enjoyment out of helping others. He is an expert and seeks perfection in what he does. After all, he is working with people's eyes. His staff is wonderful & professional as well

I had Lasik surgery with Dr. Siepser. I really like him. He has a very kind demeanor and he is very comforting and knowledgeable. I completely trusted him to perform my surgery as he is one of the most renowned surgeons in his field. I have had no complications with my surgery. I did not find the office staff or nurse technicians to be particularly warm or friendly. For some appointments I've waited an hour, for others I've waited 10 mins. It is very unpredictable.

I was a patient of his from 1988 to 1998 (then I moved)... he was a great doctor and dealt with several issues of mine- lens implants- cataracts removed as an infant > many years with aphakia and glaucoma. Another poster stated he is arrogant- he can be but he does grow on you; he knows his stuff and worried about me. He was genuinely sad I was moving out of PA. If I could I would go back to see him in a heartbeat. My lens implants after 20-25 years- still going strong tho still have glasses.

Very arrogant!! Thinks he is the best but I went in for a simple procedure for cataracts and now have very limited vision. Should try caring more about his patients than his image

They were very good at explaining the options for vision correction which lead to my ICL surgery. Dr. did a good job of explaining the process and addressing my concerns. He also made himself available all weekend by phone and email to address my concerns directly after the surgery. I would highly recommend them for your vision correction needs.
