Lack of service
I need to replace my walking shoes (Diabetic). I have been under your care for many years and have recommended your practice to many relatives and friends over the years. I visited your office on E. Main St. to start the process. I know that I am authorized one pair per year because I am diabetic. The person I talked to refused to start the process stating that they would not honor my request until I saw the Dr. in Jun of 23. The requirement for the shoes is that I am diabetic, which I have been for many years and I don't think I have been cured since my last exam, and I don't think that I need to see the doctor for the process to be started (it is not likely that I have been cured since my last visit). The process for replacing my shoes takes six to eight weeks to get the shoes, I should not have to wait until June to start the process. The person That I talked to said that they would remove my name from your list and cancel my June appt. Please contact me to resolve this.

First saw him 15 years ago because of foot pain. His diagnosis was quick and right on the money. It was a huge relief to know what was going on with my feet. Recently I have been seeing him routinely for ongoing issues. He is a great listener and has a wonderful bedside manner. Can’t imagine anyone else being as thorough and knowledgeable. He has improved the quality of my life.

He was personable, approachable, kind, clear in his explanation of the care he could provide, prompt follow up appts and clear guidance re: how to best recover from the bunion surgeries on both feet (one at a time). Both surgeries were successful and I continue to be able to do everything I hoped to be able to do physically.

I have been seeing Dr. Szames ever since he graduated from medical school. I was referred to him when I needed a podiatrist. Such a wonder doctor. He has performed a couple of surgeries on my feet with no problem. He has been the doctor for all my family members and have performed surgery on most. He is a very gentle doctor and tries not to cause too much pain. Very nice to talk with. He listens when you explain your problem and gives you alternatives for treatment. I have recommended him to family and friends.

Dr. Szames is amazing. His office staff, Yolanda made the experience miserable. I called for an appt, was identifying who I was, and that my grandson needed to come back. She interrupted me and said, "I don't' need all that information, I don't know the patients, just give me his date of birth." I was dumbfounded, flabbergasted, and couldn't believe my ears. I asked her if this is how she normally speaks to people and she was just as combative. We will finish this with my grandson, but I will never go to this location again.

I had a bunion removed from my right foot. Dr. Szames told my husband all was well with my surgery and then he left. The anesthesiologist ended up admitting me and Szames didn't know this until the next day. I was in preop for 4 or 5 hours waiting to have my surgery. The nurse thought i was a walk in or something but I had this scheduled for 6 weeks. Anyway since then I have had to have 2 reconstructive surgeries and a pin removed from my foot. Still in a lot of pain. Dr. Szames told me there was nothing else he could do for me and I ended up with another doctor who did the 2 reconstructive surgeries.

I needed a podiatrist in a hurry so we t to Dr Szames, my regular podiatrist's partner since she was unavailable. I though the name sounded familiar but I couldn't place it...until I saw him. He had repaired my Achilles tendon 20 years ago! A touch of gray hair aside, he's still the caring, talented, capable surgeon who took care of me then. Now, following another foot surgery at his hands, I'd still recommend him fully, to anyone.

I saw Dr. Szames four years ago for problems with my right foot. He was easy to talk to and the staff was very welcoming. Because of the wonderful care I received, when I needed surgery on my left ankle three months ago, I knew I wanted Dr. Szames to treat me. Once again, he was easy to talk to and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. He did a wonderful job repairing my ankle and helping me to walk again.

I was just looking up the phone number for Dr. Szames and decided to leave a GOOD review for him. I nearly lost my foot (or felt like I was going to) due to another foot doctor in the area, and their lack of helping me. I was in tears, and came into Dr. Szames and he was my angel on earth. I had been suffering with my permanent toenail removal which was not healing, and he directed me on the right path. He was very gentle, excellent bedside manner, and very detailed in his responses. GREAT DOC!!
