Dr. Steven Ugbarugba, MD

Never got appointment for my mother even though he said it was vital that he saw her after she was released from the hospital! I called the office & left several messages & no one ever returned my call. I've never seen a system so screwed up & and unprofessional!!!!!

Was admitted via the ER with elevated liver function. Dr. U came in and explained I needed a special endoscopy to open up my bile duct. He did not mess around! I was in my procedure within an hour. He was kind, polite, and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend!

June 2023...I was referred to Dr Ugbarugba (Aruba) by my PCP. Dr Ugbarugba performed a routine screening colonoscopy and an upper GI endoscopy. I was very happy with his services. I had no issues or pain following the procedures. His office staff are lovely, friendly people who are very welcoming...as were the staff at the Cy-Fair Surgery Center where the procedures were performed. I saw him for a 2-week follow-up appointment after the procedures, where he discussed the results with me. I would definitely recommend this doctor.

Impossible to get in touch with anyone in the office to schedule an appointment. Can’t get a person on the phone. Constantly leave messages requesting a return call. What if there was urgent need?!!?

Three people highly recommended Dr. Ugbarugba and I agree. He is very thorough and explains things well. I feel like he is concerned about my description of what is going on and determined to fix it. Now awaiting results of the upper endoscopy which was a breeze. Hospital staff also seemed to really like him.

Dr Ugbarugba saved my life by finding the bleeding site in my small intestine which is very difficult to locate with all known diagnostic procedures. He is very knowledgeable, persistent and caring. Definitely an excellent doctor.

Poor business practice when a business requires the patient to pay before service is rendered. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The physician, however, is questionable to be in the health profession.

Comes into the room while talking in the phone. Take an entire minute fumbling through his phone and finally addresses me. He was clueless as to who I was and why I was there. I’m not sure if he is even a MD. I wouldn’t trust him with an X-ray scan, let alone an endoscopy.

Unable to contact Dr Aruba's office. No one answers. Heep saying "user busy". ?? What if I had an urgent question??

I would recommend Dr. Aruba to anyone that has GI issues. He is incredibly professional, highly skilled and has a wonderul staff. All of my experiences have been of the upmost expertise.

Knowlegeable, Professional, Courteous, Confident, Great Bedside Manners, and Extremely Responsive to urgent patient situations.

I waited about an hour for my original appointment scheduled for 11 held at 12. he didn't examine me at all just asked about 4 questions, did no explanation and told me I would need an endoscopy. $$$ The day of the procedure was smooth but that was the hospital system not the doctor. He took 8 biopsies as I was leaving he showed me some pictures of my stomach. I never heard back from the doctor except for getting multiple bills. What a joke. IMO not fit to earn my business

Refused to provide mandated follow up post hospitalization visit - unethical. Failed to verify insurance until arrived at his office to only then be advised out of network-- despite it being weeks after appointment was set by his own staff - sent away not seen -- DISRESPECT OF PATIENTS TIME AND RESOURCES.

Very professional,informative,takes time to explain procedures in full.
