Unqualified Doctor
Please avoid this doctor at all costs. His lack of knowledge and care made my 5th metatarsal fracture worse. My bone was almost a complete break. He choose to put me in a boot with crutches from the beginning. He Obviously did not like questions or explanations. When my bone had barely healed after an excruciating month, I decided to see another doctor. Was told I should have been treated with screws & a plate with a wheel chair like device to get around all to totally immobilize the foot for the first month. Instead my initial treatment made the situation worse and I’m now looking at possible surgery which could have been avoided. He is rude & does not like questions. I really think he was just to lazy on the first visit to put in the screws. That first month was crucial. Walking on it with the boot & crutches (which he told meWas fine ) totally slowed & derailed my healing.

worst experience
Two surgeries performed by this doctor failed. His plan to address it was debunked by 3 surgeons I saw after for a second opinion as being both strange and illogical. He is often impatient and rude especially if you ask questions, he will speak down to you, bully you and raise his voice if you persist in trying to understand. He deflects and intimidates, and is either dismissive or aggressive. I have never had such a terrible experience like this with a doctor. Now another doctor has to fix the problems, with great expense to me and a difficult recovery.

Performed bunion surgery on me over 3 years ago. Misdiagnosed a serious clot in my leg post-surgery. Literally misread a report. I self diagnosed and sought care that potentially saved my life. Foot and entire leg in constant pain 3 years later. Still cannot feel my surgical toes or bend them. Have terrible leg and hip pain that is not responding to physical therapy. Never saw him prior to going into the OR and my husband had to seek him out for hours after surgery. Told me I can’t drive for 6 weeks after my surgery because he forgot that it was my left foot not right. I was isolated in my home longer than necessary, because wasn’t paying attention. DON’T WALK, RUN (if you can) from this “surgeon”. He has caused me endless pain and suffering.

I had hammer toe surgery with Dr. Weinfeld on 3/30 after putting it off for 3 years! It was an amazing experience! His staff in his office as well as Midtown surgery center is fantastic. Everything was explained pre and post-op with me and they sent me home with easy instructions. I experienced very little pain after the local numbing wore off. I am so happy with the choice I made!!!
