Dr. Steven Welton, MD

I visited Dr. Welton some years back as he was my therapist for a long time. He was a caring and concerned therapist. Now that I have cancer, I want say I’d highly recommend Dr, Welton. Back then I can see where his help, helped me in my situation as it is now.

Today's session was combative and he talked down to me. I have had health and life issues the past 2 years that are unbearable and today he completely shattered my trus. I had scheduled my appointment because I have been having trouble sleeping again. My medication had lasted me almost 9 months. He was furious that I had not been in to see him and I explained that I had been in the hospital twice, a death in the family and I had surgery on both knees. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

No rating could be LOW enough! Dr. Welton is rude and talks down to his patients. I had heard that he has a very bad temper, but took a chance on him anyway due to needing an appointment. I should have listened to the word of mouth comments from others. I witnessed firsthand his anger issues and his unprofessional behavior. Now, I realize how little he did during the sessions. All he did was write prescriptions instead of trying to figure out what type of meds/dosages.were needed.

I've been seeing Doctor Welton since I was 16. I'm now 26. He's always been patient but firm when need be (like with my rebellious teenager phase, or my past alcoholism issues). I trust him completely.

I feel that Dr.Welton did not get to know me. He was concerned, but I did not appreciate note taking. I would like to have had telephone consultation when I really needed it. He needs to interact more with his patients. I don't know that I would recommend him.
