He’s obnoxious
We saw him four times, and he was never friendly, but I don’t need a doctor to be my friend. However, Dr. Williams went far beyond unfriendly. He ordered blood and urine tests, both of which showed abnormal elevated white blood cells, indicating a UTI. He decided not to prescribe antibiotics. I sent him a message, politely asking him to help me understand why he wouldn’t prescribe them. He then called me, and in a voice shaking with rage, informed me (incorrectly) that my white blood count was normal. He accused me of lying about my symptoms. He told me that it would be wrong and dangerous to prescribe antibiotics. But since I “demanded” antibiotics (I did no such thing), he was prescribing them. It seems to me that if he truly thought this was wrong and dangerous, he shouldn’t have done it. But basically, he did it out of spite. I won’t be seeing him again. I strongly recommend choosing another doctor—any other doctor.

Dr Williams
My 98 year old mom has been seeing Dr Williams for several years. He always shows concern for her. He listens and answers our questions and never rushes us. The nurse Kami is amazing. When I need to call I always get a quick call back and help that we need.

An Unpleasant Visit
I was greatly disappointed with my first medical appointment. The nurse was friendly but when Dr Williams came in I experienced him as unkind, short tempered, bordering on rudeness. He lacked both patience and compassion. His manner communicated annoyance and disdain. I will not be returning.

Terrific and Available
I saw Dr. Williams over the course of the last two years. I saw him for some ear issues, an arthritic toe and high blood pressure. He was always matter of fact and without drama, treating me with respect and always asking if I understood and had any questions. The arthritic toe is all better, my ear issues are all healed and I now have normal blood pressure. I am HIGHLY satisfied and appreciative of his care.

Very rude and unprofessional
I am elderly and have a physical exam every year. I had to switch doctors due to my doctor retirement. Dr. Williams took on my case. I was in disbelief at how unprofessional and rude he was during my exam (very brief half exam looked at eyes and ears nothing else.) He had no communication skills and was very short. I will not be returning to him. I am seeing others reporting the same Very rude and unprofessional doctor and very rude individual He never fully answered any of my questions. I will never return to him

He looked in my eyes/ears and called it a physical
Very Abrupt. Very cold. No indication that he cared anything about me or my issues; No help at all for any of the issues I brought to him. No engagement of any kind.

Uncaring & rude
Dr. Steven Williams is one of the worst physicians I've ever seen. He has a horrible, uncaring "bedside" manner. He acts as if you are annoying him or wasting his time. He couldn't care less what you are in his office for, his answer to everything is to put you on medication & send you on your way. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Dissatisfied Patient – Jun 15, 2023
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Williams?
I have an allergic disease that causes digestion issues/dehydration that's put me in the ER going on 4x since my visit with him. I see a top specialist at UF, who gave me orders for weekly IV fluids. Dr Williams refused, calling it a "logistical nightmare." My dehydration is so bad, nurses can no longer find veins. The best part was when he accused me of being a meth addict because I'm on large amounts of Zantac, which can show up as meth on a urine assay (85% accuracy. I may sue.

Does not listen; gives poor if not harmful advice; orders unnecessary tests. Is ill informed, at best, of symptoms, interactions of certain drugs, absolutely uninformed regarding scheduled tapering and other & best practices for taking a patient off of certain meds such as benzodiazepines and other anti-anxiety drugs. Gives the impression he would rather be somewhere else doing something else.

Terrible attitude and the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced in a doctor to date. It only took one visit and I promise you this, I will never see him or anyone else in the office. The nurses and staff should really learn not speak about patients when they are waiting in examine rooms. I have extremely good hearing.
