Dr. Steven Wunder, MD

Several years ago I was unable to tolerate an EMG at a different facility. Mayfield’s Dr. Wunder was sensitive to my fears and kept me informed every step of the test. It was so much easier than I could have imagined. Highly recommend if you need this test.

I came to Dr Wunder for an EMG test due to pain and weakness of my leg for weeks. I was super nervous about the test, but Dr Wunder was kind and empathetic and the test wasn’t as bad as I thought. He told me what each aspect of the test was for and kept me in the loop with what was going on. He was aware that I was in pain and took the time to make sure I was comfortable as well as helping me get on and off the exam table. Dr Wunder is wunderful (pun intended)! Great care and would recommend Dr Wunder and Mayfield to everyone!

He is a wonderful doctor when I had an accident I was off almost a year my doctor at the time had me lay around taking pain pills getting worse I decided this was not my life I found Dr Wunder he got me up and moving and made me realize I’d be in some pain all my life I would have to learn how to deal with pain and try relaxing and breathing and exercise which I’m still doing to this day because of him he also found me a surgeon when the time came that I needed and all through these years he has helped with epidural Dr Orlando and physical therapy and even medical massage helped happy he is retiring but sad also not sure I can find someone as wonderful and caring as him since I’m still on workman’s comp even though I’m retired myself now

They are definitely doing everything in their power to help me without using narcotics. An awesome and thorough doctor!

Dr. Wunder was nice enough at the consultation. He ordered x-rays. Once the reports come back, you can only discuss the findings with his staff. If you have questions, which they won't answer, the only way to get an answer is to make another appointment with Dr. Wunder, for which you will be charged again. There is no "MyChart" to send an email and as I was told "he doesn't do phone calls".

I have been with him for 23 years for a reason! From the start, he understood my condition to prescribe the correct medication and dosage. Over the years he has continued that process by offering alternating medications to help minimize the addictive nature of staying on same medication. In addition, he has always been on top of the latest technology regarding available treatments that offer improvement in treating my condition. I moved to Florida years ago but make the trip back to Ohio to see him because of the trust and dedication to my problem I have for him.

Dr Wunder has been my doctor for over13 years and has always been very professional and thorough.

Dr. Wunder should change his name to Dr. Blunder. First appt. I had with him, I asked him about the results from my MRI. He told me my back looked better then the previous MRI. I asked him how that was possible since the mychart results had posted that my back had went from moderate to severe. He ignored me and said I needed physical therapy which I had numerous times and it makes my condition worse. One visit with PT and they said No, physical therapy was not an option. Second visit he gives me a script for Valium to get a nerve block done. As I am leaving, he asks me when my last MRI was I told him 3 months ago. He then asked me where as it wasn't in my records. He was looking at a MRI from 2013 before. They called to schedule the nerve block, told me he should not have given me Valium and that I could not take that before the injections. I asked about him looking at my MRI and was told he was going to "try" this first. I'll find someone else who will look at my MRI.

Dr. Wunder is great! He is very personable and takes the time to do thourough evaluations. I’ve had back pain for years but he was able to accurately diagnose the problem and help plan a proper course of action. My pain has finally been alleviated! Thanks Dr Wunder!

Despicable.

In my opinion this guy is in business for one reason which is to take your money. I paid this guy to provide a file review and a written opinion in regard to said review. Instead he provided reviews of subjects that contracted for, when advised of his mistake (In a recorded conversation) with his office manager I was advised the issue would be corrected instead he cashed my check and moved on. In my opinion all should beware of this guy. Please search for other complaints on him.
