My husband had surgery last year and the surgery was a complete flop. The wound was infected for a year and it wasn’t until we found our current surgeon that things were resolved. As a surgeon, Yood knows nothing about wound care and was super unhelpful about dealing with the chronic infection even when the wound split open. I wish we had gone to a better surgeon earlier at a better hospital in Boston. If you have a pilonidal cyst issue, consider going to a better hospital. Yood wouldn’t even give us a wound care nurse when the wound was badly infected, so go elsewhere. He even suggested to my husband that he should use Nair hair removal cream around the open wound.

Dr. Yood was kind and patient, explaining each procedure before he performed it and what to expect later. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr Yood was excellent all around

My only complaint was that Dr. Yood has surgeries on Monday's and maybe some Thursdays. Other than that, I had a good experience during my laparoscopy procedure for a hernia repair. He is experienced and confident. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for a doctor to perform this procedure.

Go anywhere else, the Staff is welcoming and professional but Dr.Steven Yood only cares about his time. I went in with an extremely painful issue but his rush to save time was far more important. While I understand he may have many patients a day, he is the only doctor I am seeing so some care would go a long way. After moving one time (in pain) I was scolded to go elsewhere if I can't sit still. After the shock of hearing this from a medical doctor that's exactly what I did got up and left.

My mother was at death's door and dr. yood was called in to remove her colon. His bedside manor was excellent--honest but kind.
