Truly Grateful- Thank you Dr. Andersen
I work in healthcare myself and am not easily impressed as I have had bad experiences - due to insurance, problems getting medications, denials for imaging and specialist care, large bills, and long lengthy processes for prior auths. BUT I am impressed with Dr. Andersen. He truly cares and goes above and beyond for his patients. I was late to my appointment but he fit me in because I had trouble with the parking and finding the location. The staff was patient and kind with me even though I admittedly took out some of my prior paperwork and parking frustrations on them. I initially had trouble getting one of my medications but Dr. Andersen worked with me to find alternatives and now I am off several of my medications and feel like I am rediscovering a better version of myself. I am feeling better than I have in years in large thanks to the caring and compassion he has shown in combination with his exemplary medical training. I am truly grateful to Dr. Andersen and his staff.

Don't waste your time or energy, he's not.
Dr. Andersen was simply checking off the boxes to get me through the appointment. He had no interest in me as a person or a patient. I am and executive in my late 50's, new to the area and looking for a primary care physician. I have NOT found one in him. The office staff is not much better. Don't waste your time. He clearly isn't using any of his time or energy to care for patients.

Here we go again
My first appointment was really nice and I thought he understood me and where I was coming from. And then at my next appointment he was recording me & wasn’t so much on “my side” anymore. It felt like I was at an appointment with someone else and not the same doctor I first met with. Ever since, each appt has been worse than the previous. I’ve been seeing the internal medicine office at Palomar since April ‘21 w/my postpartum care and haven’t had help with a diagnosis or plan of care since being diagnosed with Osteoarthritis (cervical and lumbar) - hypermobility, fibromyalgia, osteitis pubis, facet atrophy etc He also told me to stop sending messages in the portal as “they don’t get paid for that and he has a boss to make happy” … are you kidding me?!

Dr. Andersen became our doctor a few months ago. We consider ourselves blessed to have him as our doctor. He has a real caring manner and treats us (and I'm sure his other patients) like we are the most important. He is thorough and knowledgeable. Again, Thank you Doctor Andersen for allowing us to be your patients!

Dr. Anderson gets it. From his excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. Attention doctors if you want a masterclass in watching a doctor bring medical knowledge and build rapport so that message is heard by patient and therefore delivered watch this Dr.

I've seen a lot of doctors and most of them have been really good, but Dr. Andersen really took the time to explain the options for each of my issues and how they would affect each other. He helped me reach a plan of treatment that had me feeling better by the end of the next day. His didn't talk down to me, but explained things in a way in which I could understand as a non-medical professional. I'm grateful for the help and peace of mind he gave me and my family.
