This is one of the few times that I had a medical doctor insightfully and conversant concerning my issues and my philosophy about medical care. He was not at all arrogant but instead, in my opinion, demonstrated a genuine interest in my needs and issues. He was a good listener and responded with his own views and recommendations without dismissing my opinion. In other words, as near as can be done with todays "protocols", doctor adhered to the Hippocratic Oath. This is how I measure all medical staff. I have engaged with many over the years who have fallen short of medical ethics when engaging with patients. I like a physician who goes out of his/her way to learn beyond a myopic view I see so much in our medical services today. I believe this doctor understands those ethics despite the burdens of Western medicine today.
