Dr. Sumesh Chandra, MD

had an initial appt with all labs, scans, images on hand. The MA was all over the place & very rushed. She did not really listen. Dr Shah came in & said per the scans i require a biopsy & scheduled me to return. I drove 90 minutes back again in December for the sole purpose of a biopsy. I pay my copay, go to a room, get stuck with a numb needle & dr sumesh comes in & says he is not doing a biopsy. He said he would not charge me for the visit. 2 weeks later blue cross alerts me that they processed my fee for a biopsy. So they never returned my copay, never did a biopsy but billed my insurance for it all. I called over 60 times. Tom in billing who cannot be understood says he's fixing it. Farid Morsi the GM says he will fix & call me back & does not. we filed a claim with the Florida Medical board and the Dept of Agriculture & Consumer services

I have been seeing Dr. Chandra for many years now. I feel as if he is family. My thyroid problems have been taken care of by him and now my bones. Wonderful caring and compassionate Dr. .staff has been Great. Appointments have been right on time or at least close to it. Highly recommended.

Have been diagnosed with Adrenal insufficiency with a need for emergency treatment and the office is recommending to get an appointment in June 2024. I called them on March 28th 2024. Totally unhelpful and rude office staff. Is this the kind of practice one should run. Shame!Site only allows with a 1 star....0 stars

I have been his patient for over 5 years. I used them for my tyroid constantly. Today i got a call from a collection agency. This doctor sent me to a collection ageecy for 63.00 dollars. I never received a bill, email or call. I recently spoke with them for an exam and they forgot to tell me about the 63 dollars and 3 cents, but were very quick to sent me to a collection agency after 5 years with them . Additionally, this doctor is very rude and lack compation. Do not use him.

Dr Chandra was exceptionally thorough and performed one of the best physical exams I have ever had. He confirmed a complex diagnosis that I was unsure of. He was patient, compassionate and extraordinarily knowledgeable. This is a 5 star Physician in anyone’s book. Not surprisingly I ran into another doctor I know who was also a patient. He obviously enjoys the respect of the medical community.

I’ve seen Dr. Chandra three times now. He's a rare breed of physician in this world of the 10-20 min. rushed interaction that we all know too well. Dr. Chandra is different. He's very patient & one of the most thorough physicians I’ve ever met. He's an experienced & very unassumingly knowledgeable doctor. I found him to be a refreshing exception to the great majority of doctors I've met. Dr. Chandra listened carefully to my complaints, asked specific questions about my condition, examined me & reviewed my medical info with me. Sessions didn't end until he obtained all the information he needed, established a plan of action & answered all my questions, which have been many. He's very serious about his work. Count yourself lucky if you have the good fortune to be seen by him. I know I do. Despite the negative reviews I've seen about the staff, they have been very thorough, patient, courteous & professional. This medical office is a caring, bright star in a growing field of ignominy.

Dr. Chandra has been my endocrinologist for years. He is a very thorough and concerned physician. Other physicians should adopt his best practice of ordering blood work prior to the patient's visit. He takes the time to go over the results with you there during your visit, answering any questions and explaining any concerns. He listens and will adhere to your wishes unless your wishes are not beneficial to the best of your health! I'm so appreciative of Dr. Chandra! He is one of the best ever! I rely on him more than I do my PCP. Thank you Dr. Chandra for your dedication to the health of others!

I had my first visit with Dr. Chandra last week and I have already started to see changes in my diabetic numbers. He reviewed all my paperwork with me and spent the time with me discussing my problems and offering recommendations and suggestions to help regulate my diabetic situation. I would highly recommend him as a physician that really cares about his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr Snandra for about 5 years. My primary care physician could not get my thyroids reading to stay consistent. After two years of treatment I was referred to an endocrinologist. I originally chose Dr. Shandra because of the proximity to my home. My first visit was very pleasant and he semed very concerned with my health. We had my thyroid readings on track ithin six months. He ran a bone density test on me and recommended I take the Reclast infussions. I was scheduled for 5 annual treatments but my bone density had improved sufficiently at year 4 that the fifth was canceled. I am VERY satisfied under Dr. Shandra's care and would recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Chandra has a way of putting one at ease. I feel confident in his care and opinion.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sumesh Chandra for more years than I wish to count. From the first visit, I was impressed with the kindness, concern, knowledge and commitment of Dr. Chandra. Although there have been changes in office personnel over the years, the staff is very friendly, and welcoming. I have not had any problems with scheduling. This office offers bone density scanning and thyroid scans both of which I have utilized. I feel very safe with this doctor. His professional manner is quite re-assuring. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a doctor in his specialties. The rest of the office staff is impeccable.

Dr. Sumesh Chandra is a rare breed of doctor. He is extremely detailed orientated, easy to understand (he explains things in layman's terms). Finally a proficient doctor in his field of study! He has a cordial and professional demeanor. In essence, my experience with Dr. Chandra and his staff has been an excellent one. It is always pleasant to speak with his staff and have issues addressed in a timely fashion. I recommend Dr. Chandra without reservations.
